  • Tim is amazing. Martin's laugh is perfect. Best scene ever!

  • Having watched both versions of The Office I have come to this conclusion:

Both are equally funny and entertaining.

However, the UK version has Martin Freeman.

    Enough said.

  • Martin Freeman is Bilbow in the new hobbit film.

Sorry America. UK Office is better

  • most of these comments here aren't even about the vid!! That said...I love Tim!!

  • Series 2, Episode 3

  • Seriously, though, is there anyone more delightful than Martin Freeman?

  • ahahaha!! oh cock..

  • As soon as I clicked on this video, I knew there was going to be a massive comment war about the The Office UK and USA and countries. Predictable trooolls~

  • Best 32 seconds of my entire life!

  • the office UK is funny as the US.

  • I hate how I have to type "UK" in to get this :( No hate to Americans love their version of the show just saying how come it's harder to find clips of the original? :(

  • @filks123 Because there are 300 million of them and only 60 million of us.

  • @2601andrew 50 million of you you mean. "British" humour works a lot different to scottish humour you know ;)

  • @Pawnbroker00 Alright don't get all patriotic, Scotland wouldn't exist if it weren't for England.

  • @2601andrew Thats incorrect, scotland wouldn't exist if it werent for ireland. England colonised scotland.

  • @filks123 well there was only 6 episodes compared to the 100s from the American one, plus the American one is still on now so that's probably why.

  • I don't know why but Tim's laugh cracks me up.

Also, why are all the comments about how ''US is better'' ''UK is better'' shit?

Both the UK Office and the US Office are good, imo.

  • @ToriBird330 thank you you are 100% right..

  • @Pizzamonster51

    fuck off then!

  • @survivalisme88 I was stating my opinion after watching the Uk office for the first and last time that is what these things are for ya know! stupid shit

  • @Pizzamonster51

what so one clip from one episode is enough to give an opinion?

stating an opinion is one thing, but you intended to piss some people off.. idiot

  • @survivalisme88 I live in a free country Dick biscuit

  • @Pizzamonster51

    "dick biscuit" lol

  • @Pizzamonster51 You're a piece of shit. That's all.

  • @Izybellaz I live in a free country dicktart i can post it if i want to fucking bitch!

  • @Pizzamonster51 so why did NBC bother to pick up "British rubbish" in the first place, and make a star of Steve Carrell ? As Tim would say..COCK. btw pizza is Italian rubbish

  • who would ever think an English could be funnnier than an American.....oops

  • that was gay us version is better

  • @jomasterjoe Hard to believe. English comedies are No.1 + UK Office is original and US is a copy.

  • @jomasterjoe no uk is better

  • Note to self: DON'T drink hot chocolate while watching this

  • Note to self: DON'T drink hot chocolate while watching this

  • so funny when he laughs hahaah

  • 'I prefer the stuff you do about his little hand-the wanking claw.'

  • I think the US version was good but seems to getting far fetched with too 'zany' antics. I haven't watched the UK version for a while but currently am again and love it even more-its really a comedy drama-with a lot of sadness. A show with characters you can recognise and relate to.

I know a lot of David Brents-many even 'played' in bands like Forgone Conclusion. My fave episode has to be Training Day.

  • The US version is so much funnier and I'm from the UK

  • @poodlecorn US version is gay

  • arguing about which country is better. grow the fuck up everyone

  • TBH I LOVE both American an British version of the show so I don't care

  • Americans are functionally retarded

  • didnt laugh or smile

  • @klashmaster95 When the pivotal character on a show leaves, it's a sign that it probably ran out of steam a long time ago.. The US office should have had at most 4 seasons, and then finished on a spectacular high. The fact that the UK Office aired on a non-commercial channel, meant that it wasnt being bloated into an unrecognisable form of its former self, like a KFC battery chicken or Mickey Rourke

  • @PurplePunisher69 like i can see how this would be funny, but i have a complete different sence of humor, just like how i can see that family guy and south park would be funny (i think theyre just immature but oh well) everyone has their preferences and opinions

  • @klashmaster95 we told this woman at work once that the air conditioning was voice activated, and she stood by the wall speaking into the control panel going "UP....UP..UP" . And she got her phone glued together as well. And back in the days of CRT monitors, someone put an old speaker magnet on my screen and everything bunched inwards towards the centre, and it took hours for it to display normally. Also drilling a hole in the bottom of a coffee mug & plugging it with wax is fkin hilarious

  • Could of had my eye out

  • Americans are not dumb, their copy of The Office is just shit

  • MARTIIIIN..... SIDEBURNS!!

  • Why the fuck does every office clip turn into a full scale war of whos country is better!? I personally love both the uk and US one! Though you cant compare them because they are so different, the US version isnt trying to copy the uk one which is why it works

  • USA!!!!x1 million

  • i love how a 32 second clip from a tv show can spark so much hatred.......you people disappoint me. honestly, you do. im an american, and i consider myself a person of decent intelligence. i have no grudge against england. in fact my family is english, cornish to be more accurate. yes, we've had poor leaders...what country hasnt? yes, we're in tremendous debt....not unlike every other country at one time or another in history. so, my question to all of you is....cant we all just get along ; )

  • @alucard6679 lol come on. this is youtube. british don't hate americans. we spend our time politically, economically and just generally being americas bitch. personally, i love americans. additionally, if everyone here commenting angrily actually met, everyone would be really friendly. people are stupid.

  • @DaveAtLeeds lol fair enough man, i just wanted to see what people would say

  • Fact # 1, Bush was OUR president, if your not american shut up about him

Fact # 2, We respect our supreme court. and Brits shouldn't be talking about dumb government systems, as least we don't have some lady that represents hundreds of years of abuse and misuse of power as our queen.

Fact # 3, We have dept. because we had fight your corrupt ancestors for our independence and then we had to pull your asses out of the fire in wwi and wwii.

  • @mrbearful

You do realize that their ancestors are also your ancestors, right? well, that is of course if you're Caucasian... which makes the chances of they being your ancestor higher than if you were not.

  • I don't care about UK/US rivalry, I'm Canadian. Shut up and enjoy the clips. Thank you very much.

  • COCK

  • I love Martin Freeman ♥

  • bilbo!

  • @sandoro3 wooden eye...lol,yep,thats mackenzie crook..xx

  • SO GETTING BACK TO THE VIDEO AT HAND...

  • Hmm, actually we only elected him once.

  • @zo1215so

Yeah, so explain how he was president twice. I know why, I just want you to explain it. lol

  • I'm pretty sure this is just a clip from a T.V. show. Not a childish debate on who's got the better country. Unless there's some crazy subliminal messaging going on, people need to calm down.

  • @Karina12392

well said. as a limey, i'm finding the anit-yank thing a bit tiresome. the U.S. "office" may not be the equivalent of the uk version but "curb your enthusiasm" bloody well is!

  • Wow, it honestly matters to all of you guys fighting which Office is better. Pathetic.

  • the us version mops the floor with this version.. and i love uk tv

  • Derp derp derp, I r smarter than Americans cuz I r British, and I assume all Americans r dumb because I r so worldly and advanced!

...shit's getting old. Can't I watch my Office UK clips in peace without being told that Americans are functionally retarded?

  • @blizzaire08 seriously, thank you dude. Like just everyone shut up and comment on the actual clip.

  • @RoseisoutofherTOGA

    Redneck wanker

  • @MrFlibble2011 Yeah, I'm a New Yorker who goes to London every year to see Sothebys auctions and my multitude of English friends whom I've met over the years touring the world's classical music festivals. Clearly I'm the very definition of a "Redneck wanker".

  • @RoseisoutofherTOGA

Polishing a turd still leaves you with a turd.

  • @MrFlibble2011 Wow you're right. Guess I'll go tell my family that we should all commit suicide together. Thanks for the enlightenment.

  • @RoseisoutofherTOGA

Excellent. The human gene pool just moved up a few notches.

  • @blizzaire08 Bush. Twice. Nuff said.

  • @jpT1213 Because Brits have never elected any stupid people into their government. EVER. Yeah, you're a troll, comment on the damn clip or STFU.

  • @blizzaire08 Well we generally try not to do it twice in a row. It's also an idea NOT to supply future enemies with weapons and money.

  • @blizzaire08 American moral is definitely not he best one.

  • @blizzaire08 Yes you have my permission =)

  • @blizzaire08 no you can't watch any clips in peace. So nerrrr. But i can understand your aggravation. I just wish that they would screen British sitcoms in their original form in the US, and then we wouldnt have all this BS. I mean can you imagine a sitcom that we converted from a ( great) American original, where this guy goes round trying to right all the wrongs he has done, and called it "My Name Is Nigel" ? Commercial TV in your country is paramount to tyranny

  • COCK!!!

  • Oh, Glorious.

  • I can't say that I've seen the American office, but Martin Freeman's performance is one of the best by a supporting actor in a comedy I have ever seen. The characterisation is fantastic

  • @upupup94 Totally agree with you

  • to be fair even if the american is better its still just a copy.

    good job ameritards <3

  • WTF are you guys talking bout? I just watched some eps of the UK version and its the same damn ep they did in the US in season 2 . Same scenes same lines. I knew the ep already so how can something be better when they are the same? grow the fuck up ppl.

  • LOL

  • Oh, and just to be shallow, I think Jim is hotter than that guy :p

  • I'm Australian, and I'm obsessed with the US version of the office, but I can't watch the first episodes when I realised how much they copied the UK one. At least they started making it more of their own later on

  • @akeliz22 Yeah some scenes in the American version are just straight up copies of the uk version, but they def take it in their own direction later on. I love both versions but i like the u.s. one better i think the characters are more appealing but not as believable as the original, they are very animated in the u.s. version.

  • I watched the first episode of the US version as was amazed they had copied almost word for word the first episode of the UK one, I couldnt carry on watching it

  • Tim unlike Jim comes across as a douche bag

  • @TheFilmSoul Do you kiss your mother with that mouth, Joe?

  • @TheFilmSoul Jim was a douchebag too. Didn't he lock Dwayne in his off...I mean workspace?? They are both cool as douches..in a good way.

  • COCK!

  • The best part of the American The Office ended, so if there's any website to watch the original The Office, then it would be nice if you can message it to me.

  • Does anyone ever watch videos from the UK version of the Office for any reason other than to argue about the American version?! The US version was always meant to be different, lighter, but comparable, now it just sucks. The BBC version is immortal.

  • "Hello, Gareth keenan"

    "COCK!"

  • As hilarious as this scene is, it's always Tim's laugh that makes me laugh the most

  • Everyone chill out both versions of "The Office" are very funny. Do not thumbs up this comment. Please. Not being sarcastic. If anything thumbs down this comment.

  • not funny.

  • "COCK!" pure genius

  • One of the offices funniest scenes!!!

  • for those of you who are still comparing the two offices, let me tell you this, ricky gervais loves the american one & thinks michael scott is a better character than david brent. you don't know what the hell to think now, do ya?

  • @harlanmiller

just because ricky gervais thinks that doesn't mean everyone else will

  • @benjamingelad, true, but when the creator of the original show prefers a reimagining of a character over his own, that kinda puts a damper on the whole thing, doesn't it?

  • @harlanmiller

i suppose it would for some people

i think both are good in their own way

they can't really be compared because they're so different, but both are good

    but that's just my opinion

  • @benjamingelad, i agree, actually, there are both good in their own ways, i'm just sick of all the debating.

  • Absolutely classic. Funniest comedy in history. So detailed, so naturalistic, such rich characters. Brilliant.

  • American office is starting to focus way too much on Jim and Pam's relationship. I couldn't care less about their marriage and baby.

I think I prefer the original office.

  • fantastic, should do another special

  • Thank you for the correction, I will be sure to note the ' for future reference.

  • I love Tim.

  • Look right at the end of the day it doesn't matter about which one is better... its comedy

  • you can't compare both versions of the office. Both are classic and funny. Ricky G

and Steve C are both great comedians and make the office what it is today: a popular, classic show that is known worldwide.

  • 100% agree

  • this is the original and the best.

america stole the idea and absolutely milked it.

  • Its mean not meen, whos the moron?

  • It's "who's" not whos, you moron

  • The UK one was written to be 2 series long, gervais and merchant never intended it to go on after 2 series and a special. It never got cancelled, certainly not in the first year.

The US office would never have been made without the UK one, and the longer a tv show goes on, the further it gets from the original concept and therefore the worse it gets.

  • idiot i meen come on realy ur making this comment

wow its unbelievable i knew that some americans were idiots but........ no no calm down matt heel learn from his mistakes and never make such a mouronic comment again

  • I have to say something here, i came on and tried to find a clip and not have a us uk bout. seems this and that, bottom line is these shows were supposed to make you laugh not to compare or say who is better, that just takes away the comedy from it i love this clip as much as i do the american ones, just cause

  • "Hello Gareth keenan?

    "COCK!"

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHHAHAHAA!

  • seriously let europeans take care of this one

  • funniest scene ever!!!!

  • jerks

  • Jeez, some Americans really do take it personally that The Office is our show...

I actually like the American one, but The Office (original) is just genius. Also, I think they've kept it going too long over there, (season 5, i think?) there's something to be said for leaving a show at it's peak, and not running it into the ground.

  • some of us americans are just plain stupid. i do like the british version but it does have a different kind of humor. but i think it's good both distinguish themselves from one another and they're not carbon copies. as far as going to season 5, most of our shows average about 6 or 7 years (8+ if it has good ratings). i like it when they go on a long time because you get to see the characters grow but i agree some shows do run into the ground if it goes on too long and they run out of ideas.

  • Quite a lot of you must be stupid to elect someone like Bush twice in a row.

  • I didn't vote for him. At least we can own guns lol.

  • You americans and your guns. That's where all your problems start.

  • Think about what you're saying. If guns are illegal, then who is going to have them? The bad guys, and the government. The two people you don't want to have more guns.

  • "The bad guys" lol

  • @CaraBrimleyRules Bush was only legally elected once, get your shit right.

  • @rage1331 Well, if he was only legally elected once and he got into power twice, you must be even more stupid than before!

  • @CaraBrimleyRules Wow... you are even dumber than I previously thought. You really think the American public has a real say on who is in the White House? Not a chance.

  • @CaraBrimleyRules it was a fixed election

  • @CaraBrimleyRules

    twice?

do your research, he was PLACED there by the supreme court the first time.. the other guy actually had more votes.

  • @poops1 Popular votes DON'T count though, it is electoral college votes. You are dumbasses for making and putting up with such a constitution. You could change it if you had more than one braincell and protested nationally.

  • @CaraBrimleyRules

dude, did i say what determined the election?? no, i simply stated a fact that gore won many more votes...

lol, you need to get a life, you seem to spend a lot of time telling people how to change the world for the better on youtube.... LMFAO...

  • @poops1 Read what I said. If you don't like the system then don't whinge about it on You Tube.

Fact # 1. 49% of Americans were dumb enough to vote for Bush

Fact # 2, 100% of Americans are dumb enough to accept a system which lets a guy in with 49% of the vote.

Fact # 3. Americans are stupid. That's why you have a 14 trillion national debt, and are still spending more on fighting stupid wars & trying to maintain a standard of living that is based on an economy 50 years in the past.

  • @CaraBrimleyRules

I'm an American who is very critical of his own government, but there's something ironic about a British person having a holier-than-thou attitude toward Americans regarding Bush. In every disastrous expedition the U.S. government has taken on, who has been right there following along like a good little brother? Ever since the UK lost it's superpower status after the World Wars, it has attached itself to the US like a toadie sidekick. Should that be used against the Brits?

  • @hyphenlife You are totally right of course in that respect. UK participation in US wars is shameful. Tony Blair was a LIAR and now we are suffering some of the same economic consequences as well as the shame of illegal wars. And yes, we are also living on borrowed time economically speaking, though not to the same extent as the US.

  • America usually runs it's series into the ground

  • Kind of agree. Like Friends and Simpsons were pure genius - but the last few seasons were really downhill.

Then again, The Wire was 5 seasons of brilliance.

  • Gareth when he tries to pick up the phone and says to Tim,"was that you?",Tim "yeah",Gareth "that's funny, you could have had me eye out",hahaha ridiculous!!

  • too funny! nuff said

  • Lmao at Tim's reaction when Gareth struggles to break the phone free from the glue to pick it up. Priceless!

  • HAHAHAHA!

Not only does Tim get a laugh of Gareth struggling to get the phone up, Gareth also actually takes the phone and answers, giving Tim the opportunity to say "Cock!" before he hangs up!

    Huge laughs! ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!

  • i can't tell if you're being shockingly sarcastic or not haha, i'm guessing you are...

  • No, I am not! I laughed so loud when I saw this the first time - I did never expect Gareth to actually pick up the phone and answer, and then again I did not expect Tim to shout "cock" in the other end after that xD

  • hmmmmm...i like tim...but i think i might like jim a little more.

  • i like tim and jim equaly as much:)

  • i like both versions but seeing as ricky gervais created the office in england and was originally meant for a british audience i feel it's the original and the best as it fits out way of life and humour.

any remakes in other countries will always be sub standard.

  • well both shows are well made and suited for the audience they are shown to. American shows and humour are very different to ours, both are funny but they are both unique.

  • Agreed. They're two different offices we should say. The shows weren't meant to be carbon copies.

  • the only comparison I can make and many may not remember the two shows but are the British Show Steptoe and Son, and it's US counterpart Sanford and Son. Both shows where different yet the same and co existed in peace.......why can't it be like that today.

  • "wingitiqui" -That was my "Commenting Limit Exceeded" word of the day! Wingy-tikky -now that HAS to become the name of my new band!

  • Comment removed

  • not crucified, just misunderstood, people just want to watch it and enjoy it without conflicting comments that belong on the other version.

  • Comment removed

  • why write it down if you know so?

  • Line on the left...one cross each ;-)

  • The British version is henius, full stop.

  • The best moment!!

  • FFS, spare us anymore fucking American teeny mallrats on these The Office threads! You're 15 for God's sake, and have never been outside your tedious, cultureless square state! What do you know about anything? Shut up! Just shut the fuck up!

  • Haha fuckin' agreed mate.

  • Awh now insults are much better if you dont repeat yourself from previous videos.

  • oooOOOooh! (holds up handbag defensively) Get her!

  • @NewRightLondon You really shouldn't generalize about all Americans that way. I'm a 13 year old American, and I've already been to 3 continents. Just saying.
