  • I think, in gen, places btwn the coasts r oftn markd as "flyover states" but having tht pre-conception cn b misleading. I`ve travelled much in Europe nd N America visiting major cities incl London, NYC, L.A. among others bt I hav to say I hd 1 of my most fun nites out, evr, in STL! The thing is that those other major metropolises r def exhiliarating in their own rite but it`s not always or only abt size. I njoy the friendly, down to earth atmosphere in places like the Midwest. Well kept secret!

  • Is there good job oppotunities in St Louis? I might move out there.

  • Which side of St. Louis is the airpot on? I always heard about East St Louis and I was walking around the neighborhoods and airport.

  • I love St. Louis , it will always forever be in my heart.

  • I'm from Brazil, and i and 02 friends are going to visit Saint louis in november. We want to stay near downtown. It's a good place to stay, i mean, what parts of the city it's better to 03 tourists stay a week in a hotel? Sorry for my english!

  • That's the day in our town... Night seems like hell in most of those areas :P

  • CTFU talking about cities u never lived in..fuck!!!

  • st louis is a shithole

  • @thelastpoint1 have you been here or lived here?

  • @knomies227 yea i have and its a shithole the downtown is as shitty as the rest of it

  • everyone i have ever known calls this city home. My family resides in south county and south city. I don't think I will ever leave, and that is completely fine in my book.

  • not a huge fan

  • I hate how st.louisans of all people are like this is a good city and blah blah blah. I live in st.louis and this is only a very SMALL portion of st.louis. Most of st.louis is just cramped up 100 year old houses with little parking. if st.louis is so great why did 14,000 people leave st.louis in the past 10 years?

  • @TheTube9021 14,000 people isnt a lot considering the fact that there are over 2.5 million people living here in the metropolitan area. Yes, parts of the city are old and run down like North City and the areas around Soulard but thats an incredibly small area of Metro St. Louis. Most of the city is very nice, like Webster, Kirkwood, Clayton, Ladue, Town and Country, South County, Crestwood, etc... Something tells me youve only been in the city.

  • @Broncosrule241

Latest crime statistics: St Louis is currently the most dangerous city in America.

  • @Blahblobify Source? Crime has dropped, try arizona or detroit if you want high crime.

  • Saint Louis has it all from A to Z :) QC

  • St. Louis is far from dangerous. The studies showing St. Louis as the top city for danger were faulty; they only took from a small, compact area, so the numbers were blown up. I've lived in St. Louis my entire life and haven't once felt threatened for my safety.

It's becoming safer as time goes on, too, and less comparable to a typical midwest city. Diversity is insane, and we have a little bit of everything. There are very few things you can't find here.

  • yea wat im sayin is there is some rough areas round there i use to live out there and for the dude that said north tulsa aint dangerous is trippen

  • To those who say St Louis is dangerous, think about these two things, St Louis is ranked as one of the top 5 cities to raise a family in the US, and name one city where you are completely safe from theft, murder, and local gangs.

  • ST LOUIS SUCKS

  • i like saint louie but its too humid

  • im from north tulsa so i kno wat dangerous and hood is iv lived in stl and let me tell u there is some dangerous areas east stl is dangerous some of north stl is offalon, fairgrounds park walnut park some parts of north county so jus cause ur from west, south co. Doesnt mean all of stl is like that but stl does have some really nice areas also

  • @warzonologist you're from North Tulsa so you know what a dangerous hood is? Please!

  • St. Louis is one of the best kept secrets. Awsome place to raise a family.

  • St. Louis is amazing. Lived here my whole life. It has issues like any other large city.....but you can't beat the variety of culture and things to do. You can get anywhere within St. Louis City to anywhere in the county within 15-30 mins. It takes an hour in Chicago to get anywhere. Love it.

  • Saint louis is not very dangerous, i have lived there all my life and nothing has ever happend. East saint louis ( which is in illinois). Is one of the only really dangerois places

  • Great video it really shows the charm of stl tht so many ppl over look

  • I love STL ! Cant wait to move there :)

  • its an interesting city i guess but you can make a wrong turn and it can be worse than the wrong turn movies very dangerous areas gangs and stuff

  • @warzonologist -

yeah, but I went to school in Mid-town at SLU. My car never got broke into, I never got robbed, or even bothered. At night we walked back to the dorm in groups-just gotta use your head a little and as always if you go looking for trouble odds are you will find it.:)

  • St.louis all day!!! Great City!! Small city with a big city feel!! Oh yeah...Go cards!!

  • I can't wait to someday move back to Saint Louis. I miss it!

  • Great video. I moved here recently and I love it.

  • I Love St Louis <3

  • God bless Stl

Wen I watch this I'm like ya I wonna go their

Then I realize I'm here I live I'n Stl just need to grab it by the horns and get active with it

  • I miss living here... *sob*

  • I will always LOVE Saint Louis!

  • Love my city, sign Albert for life, PLEASE!!!

  • Thank you for making a proud St. Louisan prouder!

  • Yay I love St. Louis! GO RAMS, GO!!!! No really go you're ruining the city!!!!

  • Every kid in America should make a pilgrimage to The City Museum downtown on their 10th birthday -- it blows away every other museum for that age group. Great bicycling place. Lots of Rails-to-Trails on both sides of the River -- and long off-street trails along the 3 rivers that encircle the city. Summer nights are awesome.

  • West of Clayton it is all upscale towns from Ladue, Creve Coeur, Town & Country, Chesterfield, and Wildwood as far West as you can go. St. Louis has a lot of traditions -- Muny Opera in the summer, Missouri One of the best Botanical Gardens in the world, the free Zoo, the Fox Theater, Cahokia Mounds, Golden Eagle Ferry and beautiful Upper Mississippi bluffs at Alton.

  • Having that second skyscraper district straight west of downtown had the affect of preserving hundreds of beautiful old buildings from a century ago downtown that are now being made into loft condos. And the two St. Louis business districts are linked by these entertainment, restaurants, universities, and residential -- Midtown Alley, Grand Center Theater, St. Louis U., Central West End, Forest Park, Delmar Loop, and Wash U.

  • Nice video. I love the small model effect. St. Louis is unique -- downtown St. Louis is becoming a residential district with all the lofts and entertainment, and all the sports venues. I like the height limit -- no building can be taller than the Arch. That distinguishes St. Louis from other look-alike downtowns that only want to be tall. Clayton, easily accessible by light rail, is a second skyscraper business district.

  • @zgare I totally agree - but I absolutey HATE the height limit. Has to be the stupidist rule ever, right up there with not letting the city of St. Louis borders expand. Tall buildings won't diminish the arch - the arch is a doorway to greater things. Pittsburgh is 2/3 the size of St. Louis (the metro area, I mean) and has an incredible downtown. Ours looks small and very unimpressive by comparison. I guess it's just opinion, but I can't see how less tall buildings is a selling point.

  • Well done!!

  • @Xing500 I live in Kansas City. The traffic is way better and it's not as cramped - nor is it as cultural or interesting. Get you some Royals tickets. My advice, stay in St. Louis. No Eads bridge, good zoo, botanical gardens, arch, riverboat cruises, or city museum here. St. Louis is definitely more world class. Kansas City is more a random collection of suburbs.

  • I like St. Louis because theres no reason for people to come here. Its kinda like a well kept secret. Its a small city just the right size. GO RAMS!

  • Wonderful video of my beloved hometown. Bravo!!

  • Fantastic and fresh for a city with so much untapped and understated potential. It's just as easy to love a place as it is to complain about it. Choose to love this place!

  • Nice video. Too bad it doesn't properly convey the miserable humidity or the local populations lovely balance of ghetto and red neckery that is so rare.

  • is that crumplepop i see? :)

  • There's no place like home and MY home is St Louis !!! Love it <3

  • This made me fall in love with St. Louis all over again. Beep BoP BoOP!

  • Very nice job! A very underrated place to visit and live.
