GodinChild has it right. I've been playing electric guitar for 35 years and never had any idea what amp knobs do, thus, kinda left them alone. But after watching this video, my sound has finally matured into a colorful tonal spectrum of pure delight.

Especially when they are trying to teach you something anyone with an IQ over 50 could get themselves in about two seconds of knob twisting on their amp.
