I absolutely love this episode. it brings back such beautiful, nostalgic memories of a time which i desperately wish i could have back at times. Ah well. onwards and upwards.
This cartoon spoof on Goldfinger(1964) was made 1 year after it came out in 1965,and 30 years before Austin Powers.Hanna-Barbara were the greatest cartoon writers, coming out with The Flintstones(1960),Top Cat(1962),Johnny Quest(1964)The Atom Ant and Secret Squirrel Show(1965)and The Fantastic Four(1967),all half hour prime time evening cartoons, except The F.F. which played on Saurdays from 7:30-8:00 A.M.
2:01 Secret Squirrel & Donald Duck are 2 examples of how subjective toon animal modesty standards can be DD was scandalized 4 not wearing pants, SS 4 opening his trenchcoat(Harvy Birdman-Attornie at law) If neither wore anything at all, they'd be no more noticed than 90% of all toon animals. Wearing a trenchcoat created a modesty standard that made opening it up far more scandalous than if he just went "animal commando" throughout the series.
Wow! I first saw this when I was five, and I haven't seen an episode since. They said on the TV that it was the last secret squirrel episode they would show, and I only saw it up to the laser-mirror bit, so I kind of assumed that he died...
I've always liked how Paul Frees used his Boris Badenov voice for Yellow Pinkie!

Heh--Mel Blanc's first voice for Secret is Sylvester--later on Secret would sound more like Bugs Bunny--that voice works much better.

@glowworm2 I agree with you. His later voice also kinda sounds like Heathcliff too!

It was actually an imitation of Peter Lorre by Paul Frees, but he was still my favorite!
