I saw this film for the first time last year. I don't think I will ever forget this scene. For me, Bergman, with this living doll-sized player being brought out to perform for the dinner guests, captures the essence of evil.

This is the only Bergman i've seen so far, but if his works are as good as this, he's an excellent director!

He first film in COLOR"The Passion of Anna" Same actors plus others....great movie...on many differant levels. Check it out. :)
