  • FORGIVE ME GUYS! I HAD ALWAYS THOUGHT SWANSEA WAS WRITTEN BY BBC. fucking great cover anyway!

  • how is this not cool? HOW DAMN IT HOW?!

  • @DrUnnameds thats Ed Nash. hes part of the band

  • what is that boy doing holding the stereo? SOME1 PLEASE TELL ME

  • @DrUnnameds i think its for the keyboards/piano part since there is no piano/keyboard there

  • great cover

  • so goooooood.

  • He sings in the same style as Bjork: it is especially reminiscent of the way she sung in 'Cocoon.'

  • when they walk away at the end, im all like "baby come back, you can blame it all on mee"

  • "this is onesie"

  • @kandicebabi I Know Right !!!! Lol

  • The information box says it all.

  • The fact that both my two favorite artists sing this is so pleasing. I love Joanna and her version is beautiful. But this is genius.

  • jack you have voice of an angel, and you all, jamie, ed and suren are super talented :D

  • such beautiful, simplistic music.

  • @Arachnidius, they don't! lolol.

  • I love his facial structure.

  • what instrument is that black box? it looks really easy to play! (love joanna love this song)

  • @JoshRSantiago wondering the same thing myself....

  • Do they have to casually stroll off in to the distance in every music video they make? ;p

  • @Arachnidius I'm pretty sure this is the only one.

  • Joanna Newsom might be the greatest songwriter of the 21st century. That being said, this is a very good cover.

  • D - twain!

  • Ed just standing there casually holding a massive (what ever the hell it is) and bobbing his head. Gotta love him <3

  • @charlieissoredlike It's a keyboard

  • gahhhh amazing :D

  • if you want to come on down,

down with your bones, so white,

watch while the freight trains pound,

    into the wild, wild night.

  • does he nvr wear a guitar strap?!

  • Comment removed

  • tubby little bassist is cute

  • woo i can play this on guitar, hahaha. jack steadman, be mine?

  • makes me tear up, his voice is so beautiful <3

  • His voice is delicious.

  • I just learned this song in 5minutes! It's such a beautiful song and so easy to play :)

  • ed nash is so cute :P

  • I think someones arms are beginning to ache!!!

  • @Cheezybeatz i tried to play this till end without sitting or using a guitar strap, i nearly died in pain :p

  • 3 shaved their bumfluff

  • amazing

  • @bombaybicycleclubxD haha yeah i reckon thats why ed looks at jack funny at 2:47

  • I adore this! And think they have done enough to put their own stamp on it.

I really hate covers where they just play it the same as the original! Whats the point?

  • love the sound of that taylor he's playing, does anyone know which model that is?

  • I'm in love.

  • I really like this but I think the studio version it's just perfect, there is nothing that can be added to that song.

  • I like your style! : )

  • swansea represent :D

  • Great cover. Joanna Newsom can sure write a song

  • @ctran04 To be honest, I think this is better...

  • i cant get over just how amazing this song is , absolutely fantastic guys beautiful

  • i cant get over just how amazing this song is , absolutely fantastic guy beautiful

  • This is a great cover! I love this band to bits (:

  • 3 people are Cardiff supporters...

  • Why Swansea?

  • :]]]]]]]]

  • the info bar for this video/song is exactly right, there is no description available for how awesome, amazing and beautiful this song (all of their songs really) is!!!!

    Nice job guys!

  • 3 people thought it was too short.

  • easily the best joanna cover i've head. nice one.

  • Hear that? Perfect bliss ringing in my ears.

  • they have the best videos ever, and the song is amazing, and the bassist is like 13yrs old. i love this band

  • beautiful

  • wonderful music guys - greetings from the Czech republic

  • Love the acoustic songs!!!

Plz check out my BBC cover

    Dom :)

  • i like joanna newsom better.

  • @sadtoot Eww.

  • I totally pressed the like button before I even saw the video cos' I knew it would be amazing.

  • Makes me fall asleep...

  • Come on. Did you really have to dislike it?

  • does anyone know what camera this was filmed on?

  • if you like this and other songs by bbc then have a gander at our new song on our channel :)

  • Great sound

  • How does he play his guitar so well without a strap!?

Every time I try without mine I just feel it slip...

  • @Angealolo i think he holds it up with his right forearm

  • @Angealolo yeah it's the forearm and the palm of your hand (at first- if you don't learn to get away from this while finger picking though, you'll damage your wrist). Anyway, it's just about building muscle so you can apply pressure and keep the guitar from slipping for long periods of time

  • I'M FROM SWANSEA YAY

  • what boombox is that? looks exactly like the sort of one I want to obtain for summer, anyone know? or know any similar I could buy?

  • I love how the description bar says "no description available", because that just explains how awesome they are!!!!!!!

  • I love how the description bar says "no description avaible", because that just explains how awesome they are!!!!!!!

  • si me enamoro :)

  • so cute

  • I think I'm in love

  • can anyone recommend some albums like Flaws to me. I'm normally into slightly harder stuff but I really enjoyed Flaws.

  • @bioken007 - mumford and sons is similar stuff couldnt tell you the name of there album but there latest 1 is great sorry about that

  • @nsn4eva Sigh No More is the album.

  • @bioken007 maybe some album kings of convienence

  • @bioken007 I would have me a listen to some John Martyn - preferably the Solid Air album.

Fairytale Lullaby is actually originally his. He has some great folky stuff mixed with a whole load of other stuff. Hes awesome.

  • absolutely brilliant

  • I think i prefer this version of the song to Joanna Newsoms.

Its more fragile and touching. I love both artists though.

  • i live in swansea roflroflrofl

  • What 1 idiotttt disliked this ahaha. I'm guessing their hand slipped? Love it ;)

  • @crisgrif this song is about swansea in america, which is named after the welsh swansea

  • I don't think Joanna Newsom gets enough credit for the song. Seems to be alot of people think they wrote this song. Still though, I'm in love with this band. I'm set on marrying Jack Steadman. What a hunky name

  • @Ennia I still think they did enough to make this song better than the original! It trully is a masterpiece in my eyes.

  • whoever films these bad boys is a legend. so good!

  • this just reminded me that i have a packet of bombay mix under my bed... i love this band so much! x

  • i hope that you're actually in swansea.

  • into the wild, wild night with bombay bicycle club.. any time :)

  • Beautiful. Cheers.

  • only a few bands can make an acustic album and success, bombay bicycle club is a great example of it, love 'em.

  • Beautiful song....it´s my favourite from all songs I´ve ever heard :)

  • No, I don't think this is very good - I don't even think they are playing the right chords! It is too 'samey' I think. Before I heard it I had high hopes that it would rival the original, but it is way off.

  • @stemannrocks you're totally missing the point of a cover. they've made it unique to suit their own style. it's not meant to exactly resemble the original, that's the whole point.

  • @stemannrocks the album notes says that the music is by jack steadman, lyrics by joanna newsom. the chords aren't "wrong" per se, they are different. jack has used the lyrics of the original but written his own melody.

  • all their songs are amazing jack steadmans voice is amazing imma marry the band i just have to hahaha bombay bicycle club<3

  • If only I could see something like this in the middle of the street.

  • What's the synth like sound (I think Ed is using)? Very nice on the ears.

  • it's pronounced swansee-ah.

  • @baermtn Lol nah bud its swan-zee, like the town/city in England.

  • @ScarlettStreet that's not the swansea that joanna newsom is reffering to. she's referring to a ghost town in arizona.

  • @ScarlettStreet to back my claim up, the lyric booklet reads: "All these ghost towns, wreathed in old loam (Assateagu knee-deep in sea foam) -- Ho Swansea! Buttonwillow! Lagunitas! Ho Calico!"

joanna sings "swansee-ah", which rhymes with "lagunitas". it's not "swansee, a buttonwillow." that woudn't make sense. the name of the town in arizona is pronounces 'swansee-ah'.

  • @ScarlettStreet wales. not england.

  • Does anyone else think the guy on the far left looks like a member of the Weasley family?

  • LOVE!!!!

  • haha. no wonder his voice sounds so shaky? he folds in his lips like an old man. i love it.

  • @IHaveDimensia lolzzz

  • It's a cover, but it's one of the most beautiful songs i've heard this year! A fantastic way to end an album!

  • i've tabbed this if anyone needs it. what a way to end an album with this beaut!

  • my question is, when the heck are you going to play Swansea IN Swansea... aye ;)?

  • OH, Joanna! The queen of my heart.

  • oh, win butler!

  • amazing band. perfect in every way. my new obsession.

  • acoustic is the way forward, favorite band love their new style of music and videos (flaws)...

  • I love you BBC. See you at lovebox.

  • I love this band and the new material!my dads have stolen the album off me though which is a bit of a doomer!

  • I love Bombay Bicycle Club. I looove them.

The new album will be one of the best this year, i think. ;-)

  • i Must learn this on guitar! :)

  • gradually proving themselves as one of the best bands of this generation

  • @jaishalattacks they ARE the best band in this generation

  • Love BBC but Joanna Newsom does it a lot better.

  • @huw402 Bit ridiculous to even compare them really. Obviously the lyrics are the same but the music is totaly different.

  • @benfromlondon Its the same song, it's perfectly reasonable to compare one artist interpretation to another.

  • The most amazing acoustic music ive heard since nick drake.

  • Can't wait to see the acoustic tour

  • this is just madly beautiful ♥ love love love is what i can say : )

  • I really want their new album, Zane Lowe played some of it on his show the other night and it sounds amazing
