  • i had to push silage over the pile to add to the back side to completey fill the pit. new guy messed up.

  • correct, most pits are made of dirt walls that are made using heavy machinery. However some are made of concrete, these concrete pit have a back wall but we pack them the same as an open dirt pit. in my video "pictures of a our machines" at the end Show a picture of the pit where we pack high moisture corn. both ends are open. it measures 1,055 feet long and 75 feet wide. I'm not sure what that would be in metric (sorry).
