You are looking at 'drugs' as an addiction. You need to learn to appreciate them for what they do, not for how high they get you. raves to me is a DJ playing house music and everybody dancing to it all fucked up in a club.... a psytrance experience is a shaman or a musician creating psychedelic music, the people connected together on a psychedelic substance, all good vibes... in the nature or a rave under the stars :D yeah!

this is what i think.
everybody knows what is good and what is bad, what i do is to work hard and get fun, do good things and work to be the best in my drums (i'm a drumer), and this make me happy..
i do on drugs, i know i really don't need them, its bad for my body and mind..
but, well, its really dificult to quit drugs..
soo, stop saying stupid things that drugs will expand your conciousnes, drugs are just fun..

eating ice cream all day/every day is certainly not good for your health, neither is over-eating, sleeping too much, eating too little, sleeping not enough is also detrimental for your body-mind.
It's about mainting a balance & knowing how to use psychedelic substances wisely, preferably under the guidance of someone who knows what he's doing, i.e.: a shaman. Nature possess all the tools we, as a human species, need in order to evolve/exapand consciousness

You are looking at 'drugs' as an addiction. You need to learn to appreciate them for what they do, not for how high they get you. Psychedelics are a very "once in a blue moon' thing, save them for parties or something, or a weekend. Psilocybe is VERY much like that. If you eat an eigth of them, then another after you come down, it won't work the same. You have to eat more of them than you did before. That's mother nature saying "Hey, I have a gift for you, just don't over do it"

Theres no point whatsoever in trying the drugs or anything like that if you cant even fully understand the music, Questforgoa it sounds like what you were trying to do is what everyone else was doing it but im guessing it never really did work as well as it did for other people as you really have to open your mind and embrace the fact that the drug/music/meditation whatever will make you feel more euphoric and thats when you will have a really good experience.

Enlightenment has to do with light. Timothy Leary said our brains are starved for light as they feed directly on it. It can take about 20 years of meditating a minimum of 6hrs/day every day, chanting, fasting & praying to become enlightened. There is an audio technology developed in the last 30 years that can do the same in about 3-4 years 'meditating' 1-2 hrs/day. There is a combination of psychedelics that will get you there in less than an hour after ingesting them ;)

I've tried most drugs and while they are fun and briefly mind opening, in the long run the only long term effects they gave me were serious psychological damage, which i am still recovering from and will be my whole life ... : (

I'm sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience.
The first time I ingested certain entheogens I did it the company of people who had the slightest clue about the dangeours and potential of these psychedelic tools. We did not know what we were doing. We assumed it was supposed to be a fun experience.
People shouldn't mess around with things they don't understand.

Its sick to imagine the way this person is portraying the religion, in the very first statement. From what I have seen/heard, drugs can never be incorporated with Yoga. If its done then its a shortcut which yields penny.
