  • Nice try potty person, but you have failed to convince.

  • Wish we had some global warming now.

  • When ignorance reigns life is lost. And this PLANET is warming at a very uncommon rate. And the problem is human GreenHouseGazes.

  • Showing how absurd & deceptive the Professional Deniers are is like shooting fish in barrel! However, the utterly SAD fact is there are still so many brain dead people who buy what the deniers are selling as truth! SAD!!

  • its time the truth came out about plegerism under the lie of sharing someones private life [ RAPE, HYPOCRACEY} while they are being violated and tortured with repetitive phrases, no one can truly believe anything unless teckno -slavery is stopped, its not just 'do the math"," tip of the iceberg', it isn't rocket science' ect, timmy stories and harry,ECT., its global warming{by the way number one was in 1974 when I frist said it at o.c.e., still nucler] pay the creatoR Hope under torture

  • Where is the global warming? I want to walk around as bare ass naked as I can, but could not once again as this summer was another chiller

  • @Letgoofmypickel Don't confuse localised weather patterns with a trend in overall global temperatures.

  • @djarm67 I hear ye. We can sure use some global warming now, I want to wear much less clothes. Been this way the last few years, where the hell are you global warming?

  • Monckton has built a career on cherry picking and being a professional chef of bullshit pie

  • @dfg93353

I suppose you believe in the fairy stories pushed by Gore, Hansen and the other drama queens.

There is not a shred of proof that CO2 is a problem.

Your brains are being WASHED, while AL GORE MAKES 100s of MILLIONS!

He is laughing at all of you! HAHAHA!

  • @1000frolly Al Gore is irrelevant. The science provides the facts. You are a braindead, demented fuckhead and an embarrassment to yourself.

  • @gatorhighlights4

Thanks for the compliments; what science?

Are you talking about the discrdited made-up hockey sticks, the warming at 10km in the tropics (that isnt there) the computer models (which predict positive cloud feedback, - this has been shown to be wrong. Lindzen, Spencer, Brasswell ect..) or perhaps the warming climate (which is cooling, and has been since 1998)? Shall I go on?

  • Great job. Excellent footage of Monckton projecting his own intellectual short-comings. I suspect that he has no idea that he is doing this, and would require some sort of mental breakdown before he could accept the truth of what he is doing. So ironic.

  • That guy? That's Lord Christopher Mountebank!

  • Lord Monckton IS THE MAN , you climate bullshiters are scared .

  • @adlerbr12 I'm scared of one thing. His creepish fish eyes. xD

  • What is the energy budget? It's not really clear how the first quote was misrepresented based on the cursory treatment given to it in this video.

The rest of the video is excellent, though.

  • I have to stop watching these. I get filled with rage and anxiety.

  • When I saw the degree to which Monckton had changed the "climategate" quote I was honestly shocked. I had a friend at my university who did something similar and received a failing grade in the entire course for doing so. And not just a regular failing grade but it was marked on his permanent record that he failed because he plagiarized (changing the meaning of the source you're quoting is technically plagiarism). In real academics this shit just doesn't fly so why should it anywhere else?

  • "This doubt, once entrenched in the public opinion would provide a brake on real progress towards legislation to restrict carbon emissions."

Isn't this a tacit admission that climate change is being used as an excuse for government expansion and higher taxes?

I'm sure "legislation to restrict carbon emissions" will be every bit as successful as the "legislation to restrict drugs" and just as misguided.

  • @Guncriminal You're comparing apples and oranges when you refer to drugs and carbon emissions buddy. Yes people say we're addicted to fossil fuels, but that's just a figure of speech. Carbon emission regulation will take place mostly on the macro scale by forcing corporations to make a certain % of their power come from non-carbon emitting or at least reduced carbon emitting sources. Drugs on the otherhand are unregulatable because it's not 8 or 9 large sources, it's millions of small ones.

  • 11:17 "I'm going to take the example of Fox News" - This is the only quote you have to use to prove he's lying to reach his objective.

  • A sound and thorough, well deserved pwning. Nice work. I always enjoy your videos.

  • Interestingly, references to potholer54's videos about Monckton was removed from his wikipedia entry just a couple of days ago. It is also interesting that the IP address of the editor is located in Kent where I believe Monckton lives. Coincidence?

  • Is this video a re-upload? I'm sure I have seen a video about this before (somewhere).

  • Great video but you could have condensed into less than 5 seconds ..... i.e. 11:16 "I'm going to the approach of Fox News .....".

That's all you need to know about Monkton.

  • To be fair, at least he wasn't lying when he said he was following the Fox News format...

  • Ehhh....I'm not even sure whats wrong with the quote itself if it was true, WHy wouldn't they announce disasters that could happen, that doesn't mean it's fabricated or anything, just saying that people need to be informed.

  • Where can I find the video for a critique of an inconvenient truth?

  • @Alpinex105 Check out the "Climate Change" series on the "potholer54" channel.

  • @djarm67 Thanks

  • On 7/28/11, it was revealed that the scientist behind the polar-bears-are-in-trouble research is being investigated for “scientific misconduct”. Then, a new study of NASA data revealed that the earth is actually allowing more heat to escape the planet than previously thought by the climate change community. During a speech at the Aspen Institute in Colorado, Al Gore launched into a vulgar tirade while accusing skeptics of media manipulation.

  • @vechorik Thanks for that.

  • That's called "ad-hominem" - it's a logical fallacy. In the 1950's populations were dangerously low, and commercial hunting became heavily regulated. Polar bear populations have bounced back to 20-25,000 as of today, largely due to a ban on serious hunting. Since the species is about 100,000+ years old, a healthy population would be better measured around 1500 AD or before. The point is they reside in sensitive habitat, and are now threatened by a different ecological problem.

  • @vechorik The study in question was not a study by NASA. It was a study by Roy Spencer for an obscure journal.using data from NASA's satellite. The 'study from NASA' belief comes from news articles and blogs. Why not pay attention to the actual science? Even Roy Spencer himself states that denialists are taking it out of context. The time frame of ten years in the article is much too short to account for decadal shifts in ocean current and more.

  • Is global warming a natural phenomena that is accelerated by human CO 2 emission.

  • He gave it all away when he parrots the Fox News' blurb.

  • The water vapor cover up is insideous.Polar bears are drowning, ice is melting and almost nobody is using pool covers.

  • Climate change denial is a mental disease with roots in religion. Enough said.

  • this seems like a guide as to how people quote mine scientists for their own agendas, i'm glad you are making those people look stupid.

  • I read a biography on this guy, and read it as saying "he's a big eyed pig fucker"

Unless I'm reading it wrong like Mr. big eyed pig fucker Monckton is with quotes by other people. :)

  • @barbnoon1 Because he preaches to a vast choir who have been fed treacle so long that they can no longer tolerate the bitter herbs of truth.

  • put mirror in the title. It seems like you're putting your name on potholer's video. Maybe he asked you to do this and if it gets his videos to a wider audience I guess it's OK.

I study at UEA, walk past the climate research centre every day... it has a little garden on the roof and i can see people sitting on chairs there from the chemistry labs. It's so tiny, made of dirty grey bricks with a bike rack next to it. There's an underground way of accessing it though...bigger undearneath maybe?

  • @unassumption Putting it in the title instead of the description reduces the audience reach. Including a differently worded title and selecting a different a different video category extends it even further i.e. potholer54 uploaded under "science & technology", this is under "education". You can also use the video tags to result in different search rankings.

  • @djarm67

I suppose it's cool if it gets his video more views.

  • @unassumption I had originally only intended to upload the first 3. However, one of the promoters of the Monckton misinformation tour (from NZ) has been targetting part 1 of the series (under a pseudonym until discovered) and it's motivated me to source more.
