I like the way you changed the fundemental nte. That's very hard. In my version of overtone singing this song, I only changed the root note on the word "I'm" when I'm singing the 6th (or "la" in solfegge). This is great.

Hi Bonnie, the overtone is not completely independent from the fundamental. The higher the overtone (related to the fundamental), the more different pitches are possible; it follows the natural scale, just like overblowin´ a tube (trumpet, trombone...). But...i can´t really explain...some pitches work, some don´t...
great!!!im working on my overtone but is very hard becouse were i live nobody con do it,,,,can you share with us a tutorial,,,,congratulation!!!! and thanks
i am at the stage in my overtone singing where i start to try to change the fundamentals. bloody hard !! great job. your overtones are clear and loud. much better than the other guy who's getting all the hits.
And, as I understand it, brings in to tune certain partials relevant to the melody which would otherwise be out of tune with the original base or fundamental.
Would you classify this as Western Overtone singing? That is how I have seen this style with the changing fundamental classified. But I am totally unclear on what is what.
Coool :) I've been listening to my Chirgilchin cd all morning, and I was inspired to watch some Youtubes of throat singing/overtones. Very nice!! I'd never thought of someone changing the fundamental like that, I'm impressed!

I'm sorry if this sounds too cynical...but it honestly looks like you're doing this with a midi, and checking it out as you go. We don't see your throat and you look down alot. Hope I'm wrong. Either way, it sounds amazing!
Hi Strangebright, be assured, there´s no midi...;-), it´s just me, what you see is what you hear...your comment gives me a push to record some more stuff in better quality; still looking for better gear to do that. Thanx for your comment !
very very nice... i have been messing around with amazing grace... and theres always that one note that is "off"... well changing the fundamental really does the trick, and what a trick indeed! nice work!
WoW, that's great!!! Your pitch was very solid and the melody was so smooth throughout your bassline. I went "nice" when you went to the final V chord at the end. That was very clean.
I noticed you did a similar phrasing as I did too :.)
WOW that was AWESOME!!! Thanks for sharing this with me. Your pitch was very solid, and I was like "nice" when you went down to the last V chord. Very clean.
Mental! Wow! :D

Hey. I have a question...so demonstrates just intonation right? Can you change the pitch of the overtone independently of the fundamental?
