  • I loved this show, been trying to find it on-line for years! I'd love to see Wee-man, Thunderpants and Oldage useless nitwit tortoises again.

  • Wow I just sussed what's been wrong with me all these years!! LMAO!!!

  • i new youtube would come through eventually- i loved this, it was the best/(only) sketch piss take on child entertainment ever. prune diet- caught on the runs..

  • Im getting nostalgic just looking at the off tracking on the VHS aahhh dodgy recordings,, memorys lol

  • You can thank Mary Whitehouse for taking this off the air.

Old bitch, I hope she's in hell.

  • Did the cauliflower on the right sound like Victoria wood or is it just me? 2:45

  • I couldn't help but notice Delia's entire upper body was just her breasts lol

  • And without further or do, Fellow BENDERS!

  • I remember my mum trying to stop me and my brother watching this because it always turned us into a pair of maniacs with a flagrant disregard for decent language and the ensuing utter misuse of the words "pants", "wee" and "pants" (again) for an entire week.

  • Tries to put him under-a-vest. Haha!

  • I loved this show when I was a kid, back in the days when kids TV was actually fun and interesting to watch, they really should put this onto DVD and if lucky put it back on the TV so that kids of today can enjoy the shows we used to watch. =)

  • Your trackins off mate,

  • makes me so sad that this didn't continue, Doc Croc is the best character ever!

  • I loved this so much

  • I remember watching this when i was young.

  • It's just brilliant. I don't think you could get away with calling the TV audience 'Benders' during the teatime slot!

  • Watch EVERY episode on Tony Husband's website. :)

  • good old toilet humour

  • omggggggggggggggggg iv been serching years omg thanks so much

  • Incidentally who remembers or owned the Round The Bend Commodore 64 game???

came out in about 91....was a bit shite TBH...

  • Most of the parodies & references in this went completely over my head when i was 8....

CITV would never show anything that required this much thouight from their audience to understand nowadays.....Then again neither would "grown-up" ITV these days either...

    How far we have fallen...

  • this is a fantastic find and i agree feeling a bit naughty while watching it im 35 now .just ace.... John Potato lol

  • This is probably the earliest memory of tv show I have - for about 20 years I vaguely had an image of a crocodile puppet presenting a tv show in a sewer, and remember the name 'around the bend' - I must have seen this when I was about 3 years old - I remember a scene where the rat pops out of a toilet and scares a woman, and part with chattering teeth . . . I think. For about 20 years I thought I might have dreamt it. crazy.

  • Nice. One of the all time best UK kids TV shows! Awesome stuff. Used to sit & record my favourite bits; Wee-man and the Masters of the Looniverse (a He-Man spoof), and Y-fronto and the Thunderpants (a spoof of ThunderCats, particularly remembered for the character Bum-ra)!!

  • @InfiltrateYourMind just read your comment on round the bend. sooo true mate. im 30 now, and this so reminds me of my childhood.

  • Nice. One of the all time best UK kids TV shows! Awsome stuff. Used to sit & record my favourite bits; Wee-man and the Masters of the Looniverse (a He-Man spoof), and Y-fronto and the Thunderpants (a spoof of ThunderCats, particularly remembered for the character Bum-ra)!!

  • funnier than the painful Robot Chicken and this was aimed at kids! a childrens show that satirised the big cartoons and the toy lines of the day at the same time the shows were actually on tv.

  • I was also scared of the false teeth lol. This was awesome, Weeman and the masters of the puniverse!

  • I always thought this was Spitting Image for kids. Great programme though

  • I used to be terrified of the"False teeth from beyond the stars" sketch...true story

  • You can watch the Round the Bend episodes at Tony Husbands site.

  • I've been looking for this for ages!

  • Many of the cartoons on Round the Bend were featured on a show called "Why TV?" on YTV in Canada. I still have many hours of it on tape. Great stuff!

  • Pzycho The Magnificent was like a cross between Derren Brown and Leatherface. He still creeps the hell out of me, even now! I used to gag on my Birdseye potato waffles, watching this show.

  • LMAO I Loved this program man it takes me back =D

  • I lived for this programme as a child!! Probably it is responsible for my crude behaviour now lol!!!

  • SPAM my boy/girl...You have done a great thing by uploading this...a greaat thing indeed. Ta Muchly

  • this was a great show to grow up 2.

  • After this, there is just one solitary remaining piece of the jigsaw of my childhood still missing. Dizzy Heights Hotel that used to be on BBC. Eustace Gristle, Mr. Wall and all... If anyone can dredge that shit up I shall award you a medal.

  • @pgl0897 type dizzy heights into youtube and you will find some clips and one episode from it

  • This was a brilliant programme. It was like a child friendly Viz.

I remember feeling a bit naughty when I watched it.

  • @jesuspertbreasts Agree completely!

  • @jesuspertbreasts Yes, this was very near the limit of what would be allowed on kids TV, I used to love it as a kid. But looking at it now I doubt it would be allowed on modern PC kids TV like Cbbies

  • "I'm a Hammer arent I?"

  • VHS was shit,

  • @0saintsfan0 It didn't matter because tv and films were good. Now it's the other way round

  • "Nonononono, you've got it all wrong my little Italian ignoramus. It just shows how little an artist understands his own work. If you look closely, very closely, you'll see little stars and little birdies going 'tweet tweet tweet'"

    "Where?"

    *thwack!*

    "there!"

Classic. How I adored this show as a child lol

  • All hail Doc Croc!!

  • Oh how I used to love this show

  • I used to love thi show...but can't remember the era...was it early 90's?

I liked the "Underpants and Bumrah" (Thundercats and Mumrah) sketch plus the distorted nursery rhyme:

Humpty Dumpty Sat on a wall

HUmpty Dumpty had a great fall,

All the kings horses and ll the kings men...

were flattened 'coz humpty fell ontop of them."

    Genius.

  • For a kids show this was awsome!

  • I always remember Wee Man and the Masters of the Loonyverse.

  • pzycho the magnificent was my favourite, he always picked on the same bloke lol.

  • funny, funny show, loved it, how did they get away with this as kids show ! lol

  • absolutly love this programme its a legend the croc was so funny :>

  • Who does the voice for "Doc"?

  • @jamescropley Enn Reitel

  • Benders ha ha ha great tv

  • Wow, this takes me back. I used to think this program was so naughtu since they said bum all the time.

  • Does... does he keep calling us all benders? =)

  • Does anyone own the Video that was released?

  • "ehh shut ya face." lol XD

  • This takes me back! Amazing!

  • Round The Bend classic tv programme from late 80's

  • I loved that lizard joke, especially Vincent's face after he told it, coupled with the fake clapping and cheering. Seriously wicked!

  • Thanks heaps champion, I loved this show. But coundnt think of it for about 15 years

  • Thanks for posting this. Did you just happen to have it recorded or was this incredible foresight knowing that it was going to be so hard to find?

  • @CrispyPork The whole series is at Tony Husbands (one of the writers with Mark Rogers and Patrick Gallagher) website.

  • This was the first program I remember that made fun of other kids programs and singers etc... loved it.. i remember a song from Jason DUNGevan and i loved the thunderpants.... etc.. really good fun -

  • I loved this when I was a kid. They also used to do a parody of Thundercats called 'Thunderpants', featuring Y-Front-O and Bum-Ra. :D

  • And let us not forget, the 'Teenage Mutant Hero Toilets!"

  • Those were the days

  • This was brilliant...hope Mary Whitehouse is getting a pitch fork enema for doing all she could to get rid of this

  • Haha, they should've made more pythonesque kids shows. I think this is a very large contributor to my wicked sense of humour. Just little stuff like the "Opinion poll" at 7:03

  • Wow. Ive been looking for this for years. Thanks man.

  • Fellow benders? pmsl

  • This is great to see this show again. Thanks for posting. Hope we can see mote clips soon. :)
