Pretty sure Bill Leverty used Yamaha guitars for Firehouses first 3 albums. The one he is using here looks like an Ibanez, but if you catch the head top, you can see it doesn't conform to the standard Ibanez of that era. It looks more like a Yamaha. Not to mention, he had signed an exclusive contract with Yamaha guitars in late 1989.
@Surferrobert1500 I was just think'n the same before I read yer comment ! Very few bands I have heard live don't come close to sounding as good live- One that stands out that does along with these guys is the mighty ///SCORPIONS/// -the are the ultimate shit n my book! But, these guyz (firehouse) never really got the credit they deserve !
I've seen this band in arenas as well as tiny clubs, and they always bring it 100%. Plus, the singer still frickin' rules, and how many bands from that era can claim that?
Saw them in altoona on friday. I walked backstage and hung out with them and they were so cool. Such awesome guys. They are all very humble but extremely talented musicians. Great show, absolutely amazing.
@jeffkid9999 its more than likely a HAMER.maybe an ibenez,or a charvelle.at this time they made so many different guitars that looked like each other.
Bill was endorsed by Yamaha during this time and played the Pacifica 1221s and occasionally the 1421 or the Japan customs. I can't get a good look at the headstock on this one, but it isn't a Pacifica - maybe a Carvin. It's hard to see.
This is so great! One of the best live bands. Their first cds sound is out of this planet, so amazing drum sound and overall killer production. Firehouse rocks \,,/
fuk ya man they played in the sprigs last night n i never heard of them til last night...they definetly my new fav that lead guitarist is a fukin genius god!
@fervent66 I asked him on FACEBOOK, this is what he responded (seriously) "True - TJ's sister, Martha, is my great grandmother 7 generations removed. That makes him my great, great, great, great, great, great, great uncle. And, because he and George Washington were cousins, I'm related to George as well. Do you think I should I run for president? :)"
@Transamstance why not ?. just think about it. you would have the proof to back it up. mainstream society, may see it as a hoax. but, if you supplied the resource of your findings on this, you may be highly recieveced, by the mass population of our country.

there an awsome band i saw them in charlotte at the blowout the opening band was likity split they both blew the roof of that little club. it was awsome.
I always loved the opening riff as a kid and still do to this day. These guys always put on a hell of a tight show. All are excellent musicinas as well. Bill rips on guitar and should have got more recognition than those emo grunge pukes.
I saw them live last year in a small club with about 40 people there. It was amazing how little excitement there is now for great 80's rock.
But I will say that if you have a chance to see them........see them! They are every bit as good as in this video. Singer still has the range, band looks good and sound great.
Now what would be the point of a comment like that? If you like a band, express that without putting them down at the same time. I love those three bands you mentioned, but I honestly think Firehouse destroys Crue and Quiet Riot. I think Firehouse's first album is better than anything made by Def Leppard, but Def win for over more quality albums.
Just say you like the band and that's it. Save the comparisons for message boards that ask you to compare bands.
I saw Firehouse live with Tesla back in the day, so I have to disagree with the comment that they must have fixed up CJ Snare's voice in the studio. They really do sound just like this live and he is an AMAZING vocalist. He was classically trained since the age of five. (Yes I was such a fan when I was 16, that I had their VHS and he states this fact on the video).
Definitely one of the more underrated bands to come out of the big hair era! Firehouse had a GREAT live sound and show! I saw them several times and they never disappointed!
they are pretty much the best live band out there. most bands make all their music in a studio, and it sounds like shit live.... but not firehouse! \m/
i agree ratt is one of them. if bands, recorded their shows and play them back, they can see how they sound like shit. that's why, you lay off the booze. it can fuck up the voice. especially, if you have a show to do.
I can't guarentee anything, but I can say I have seen Firehouse many times and CJ Snare doesn't need to be overdubed. He is an INCREDIBLE vocalist! FIREHOUSE FUCKING ROCKS!
because they arised when glam rock started to fade away from the alternative strom of the Nirvana crap. If they started say 5-7 years earlier, they were so good that they could rise up to the levels of Bon Jovi or Def Leppard.
guys this is a great band, however i can guarantee the vocals were overdubbed in the studio, no one sounds this good live, too produced, always loved this band though
Firehouse is a great band. They just had the misfortune of getting signed right before the grunge onslaught! Death to Nirvana! Just kidding, Nirvana's great. The death of 80's glam metal was bound to happen sooner or later. I just wish this band had been around at the start of the genre, instead of shit like Faster Pussycat, etc.
wow they are great live.. sounds exactly like the original.. they are deffinetly not one of the high/drunk rock bands of the times, haha, they are too down pat..
no problem! It's a really good video, I highly recommend. The video was recorded live in 1991 in Japan. It also has backstage and behind the scenes with the band.
I saw these guys at a club back in the mid 90's and to my surprise, they rocked it hard. And after the show, they whole band hung out in the club talking to anybody and everybody. C.J. and the guys are very good to their fans...new and old.
