I used to listen to this all the time. I just can't believe this "look(s)" were what we all thought were so awesome. It's a good sign of an artist being relevant to the world they are a part of.

I haven't seen this video in years! I'd heard it when it first came out on the radio in the early to mid 80's. After that, it wasn't played very often. That's a long time ago, and I was a lot younger back then.
He did a free concert at our church about a year ago. If you did not have enough money to purchase a CD he gave it to you free also. THAT is ministry indeed. He autographed an old cassette of his that I had too from 1986. I told him that he was one of 2 Christian artists that I found to be most convicting. I told him that the other was Steve Taylor. He told me that he is a good freindof his,and that Taylor was a man ahead of his time. I agreed.
I was just a kid when this video came out... WOW the memories it brings back, seriously I think I was like 6 or 7 I was born in 1980, I'm not exactly sure when this song came out, But I remember thinking how pretty "Jane" was and how much I wanted to grow up and look like her.... well yeah.. um not so much..LOL
Who directed this music video? And why isn't there a link to the audio version of the song itself?

Amazing how a bunch of synthesizers and drum machines can give a cool, almost '50s-style retro sound (well, that's how my mind works sometimes).

He looks like that Sean Anniston guy...you know the hobbit...Samwise Gamgees. I loved his Fire and Ice album.

It was on the Fire and Ice album. I still Love it. I saw him in 1986 do it live at Calvary Chapel in Seattle.

No, I think it was the "Shake Me to Wake Me" album this song came from.

Somehow it seems so cheesy now.

Because it is. I Love it Anyway!!

One can forgive it. The whole 80s was pretty cheesy.

I'm sure in 20 years the stuff from now days will be viewed as cheesy. Personally I'd rather be back in the 80's.

From where I'm standing, most of the stuff these days already seems cheesy.

Funny!! Funny!!!

Yes, life seemed much simpler back then!

True, but it's the cheese of my generation. Which, I suppose, makes it pretty ripe after almost a quarter century. :)
