Thank you. yes, where the light went out, it was actually night time. i did it in 30 minute sections every few hours thanks to crappy batteries for the camera... and also to let the paint dry...
a great tip that helped me alot is "draw what you see, not what you know to be there" meaning next time your drawing, spend more time looking at the picture or object than what your drawing.
drawing upside down works brilliantly too, because you lose all sense of what it should look like.
