  • where are u located ?

  • @sheiksadique Villingen-Schwenningen (Germany)

  • Martin, thank you for emailing me this video - you're clearly a very successful martial artist with a lot to teach.

I think your sales approach could do with a lot of improvement - promising students the world in 10 days is preposterous.

Best of luck with your classes - looking forward to seeing more videos :)

  • @spamoo

Thank you! You are right, I could have done it better. But it´s a pity, that only a few people take their time to read the website and all background infos. The bootcamp is targeted only to ADVANCED people (ideally >1.technican or higher)- then they will easily be able to absorb and follow all exercises. WingTsun is not about collecting "techniques" but to understand priciples and the logic of physics, the sience of fighting with its strategies and concepts. Many greetings form Germany!

  • Thank you for sharing..........wishing you all the best

  • Great video :D

  • It is not possible to properly learn a system in ten days. This is supposed to be realistic self defence. By suggesting your students will have the whole system in such a short space of time means they are being misled. True mastery only comes with time and repeated practise. This quick fix is not for me.

  • @sihingsteve1 if you knew anything about the wing tsun system he is talking about, you would understand that very few people are ever given the complete system, basically the information is held back whether your ready or not. You are right when you say it takes years of practice, but without the info, what are you going to practice? Dragos even says you are there to get the info and your to take it back and practice it. He is only providing the material that would take 10 to 20 years elsewhere

  • @dpom8883

You are absolutely right. The reason why it takes 10-20 years for nearly all WingTsun enthusiasts to see any progress is that they dont get any substantial informations on the theory and concepts. Instead everybody is trying to fill that gap on infos with his own explanations, its like inventing a car everytime again and again..but most of the time that car never is able to drive. It is better if you can build on the knowledge of a teacher from the beginning. Learning without secrets!

  • thanks for sharing the video, i hope many will come to your seminar, Goodluck!

  • What's Chi-sao for how can u use it in a real fight? like when your fighting a street fighter?

  • @mikmiranda07

Chi-Sao includes the development of flexible adaptation to changing circumstances.

It´s also a functional strength training. Chi-Sao is often incorrectly confused with the pure glue or equivalent to that which is not the case. A fight always involves the visual component (identification of potential opportunities) but also the feeling and reaction site.

  • @mikmiranda07 wIt must be trained enough so that once you make contact with the opponent, you will know instincively what to do next. But in of itself, its not fighting or even sparring. The reason being in a real fight, you must know how to effectively control the range, the distance between you and the opponent. Wing Chun is very close quarters, so you must know how to evade inital attacks, then know how and when to move into 'our' range. Thats where the Chi Sau would shine.

  • @mikmiranda07 iv also found by working with partners not in wt that the chi sao is a great way to force a position for any set arm tecs it works really well and has allowed me to incorperate not just my tai chi into the wt fighting style but also ksw which is what my outside partner pratices once ur coumfertable with chi sao its easy to get in the face of some one not use to it and gide them into it with out them knowing what ur doing all the "some one would never grab like that" tecs work well

  • @mikmiranda07 chisao is a drill. you train reflexes/motions/senses/pressure/focus/speed... etc That all is needed on the street - but it is not obvious to the observer. Join a school. Its hard to understand from pictures videos and text - and impossible to learn from internet.

  • Hi great video can u post any siu nim tao video?

  • Wing Tsun is my life too

  • hallo sifu dragos,

  • thanks for this video, but my english is under al pik.

  • Nice skills

  • Thanks for the video!

  • Very interesting

  • i learn how to whack a wooden dummy within 4 weeks...

  • there are 12 degrees in WT no?

how can you learn the entire martial arts system in just 10 days?

  • @Helmuth10000 I asked myself the same thing. And to be honest if you train everyday then you wont come to a "stuck" point you can go on to teach yourself if you have the right understanding of the martial art.

  • Good video, lots to do, congratulations, excellent production!

  • I like your style master....

  • Ihr seid ein wahrer Meister, ich kann nur erhoffen einmal auf ihren Nivou zu sein..

    Gruss aus der Schweiz

  • Enjoyed this demonstartion of a wonderful system of martial arts....Thank you.

  • That is one beautiful art to observe. Excellent vid.

  • fantastic !!! i have no more words

  • Hi Sifu Dragos, I watched your "The Complete Wing Tsun System DVD", and they were great. I hope you will make more DVDs in the future.

  • @hongkongboy23

Thank you! :-)..yes, currently I am working on new productions.

  • @SifuMartinDragos

It's good to see that you are willing to show us all the information about wing chun/tsun. Unlike some so-called "Grandmaster or Master" who always make everything look like top secrets.

  • I think this is a great video and great skill... As to those who ask if this is "true" Wing Chun... what does that even mean? There are several lineages of Wing Chun and several different perspectives. This Sifu's skill shows that he is doing Wing Chun and therefore it is his "True" Wing Chun. Great video and skill.

  • Very interesting material.

But I don't know if what you are practicing is true wing-chun...

  • @GoongFooStud

There is no "true" wing chun...only the priciples behind it are original. There are as many lineages out there as teachers.Everybody has to find a master or teacher who is able and willing to really pass a deeper understanding of concepts and relations between the components. The big variety of options inChi-Sao and application might confuse the beginner at first sight, but as soon as he understands how everything is working together all this shirnks down to a couple of principles.

  • Very interesting material.

I don't know if what you are practicing is true wing-chun, but the demonstrations show some crude principles which are very often looked over by WC practitioners.

Although I doubt you would be able to demonstrate the same ease in a non-choreographed sparring session.

  • @GoongFooStud

Thanks, this is funny. No one claims that these demonstrations are examples of rude street fights, its just a demonstration of precices executed learning lesssons. In free chisao, everything maybe not looking as nice, cause everything is possible and I also would have to behave equal aggressive to save my life. But thats not the point. If you love the real fight you should join some cage fights to serve your ego. There will be always idiots trying to play rambo. Greetings.

  • Wing-Tsun ist schon echt was anderes....die beste Kampfkunst für die Straße!

Werde ich vlt auch bald machen:)

    Gruß an alle Wing-Tsun fans.

  • @EnesKaynarca

    Sifu Martin :-)

  • Amazing

  • I love how straight forward and effective Wing Chun is

  • Nice, hope you'll have a great time and many participants.

    Thanx for sharing.

  • super (:

  • Yes, many people are worried, if its possible to learn the system during such a short time period. If you were given all details and concepts and practical examples in the life seminar and get a precise dvd documentation of all attended contents too you will be able to do your homework and train all these things. Having an overview shortens up the learning process dramatically. If you are just training details without an outlook and understanding the complete system you are loosing years.

  • @SifuMartinDragos Oh come on you cant learn the complete wt system in a few days thats ridiculous. It takes at least 20 years to become a master and another 30 years to understand the philosophy behind it. You are just trying to make some quick cash thats it.

  • @AlphaGenozid ^lol^thats what they tell you to hold you as long as they can as a paying student , take a look on the comments of sifu dragos and open your ears when he is talking maybe you can hear the difference , no on will or can you teach the whole system in a view days , thats for sure , but as i said listen to what sifu dragos says and your question will be answered.

  • @GonG108 Did you learn the complete system in a few days?

Its almost impossible to learn the COMPLETE system (Siu Nim Tao/Cham Kiu/ Biu Tze/Muk Yan Chong/Bart Cham Dao/Luk Dim Boon Kwun and the entire Chi Sao sections) how in Lao Tse's name will you handle so much information and implement it in a real fight in a few days? Even if you start the training when you are a 1st Technican you cant learn the Bart Cham Dao in a few days it needs months of practice not to kill yourself with the knifes.

  • @AlphaGenozid

I have done this over and over again in the last 7 years. People with 1th technician have learnt the complete system inclusive weapons within 1 WEEK! Of cause, its all about first getting an overview and THEN refining it at home over some years. But you learn in 1/10 of time, if there are no secrets left. You might know Paretos principle of time, that most thins are possible in the time, you give plan to execute them. Same counts here. Only beginners will not be able to do so.

  • @AlphaGenozid no it took me over 5 years to get it , to have a break through if you know wha i mean, no there is no way to learn the system in a view days but if you are a techn second or third degree it is possible . not to get a grandmaster but to learn the whole system an train it for the rest of your days , many sifus don t teach everything they want to hold their students as long as they can but it is not necessary , thats my opinion , if you have another one , ok no prob.

  • @AlphaGenozid '

The Bootcamp is concipated for ADVANCED STUDENTS or TECHNICIAN LEVELS ( >1 th technician level), not beginners!! They all have several years of pre-experienc, but havent had the chance to learn the complete system yet. Dont forget: most organisations artificially expand their programs and dont go the direct way of teaching what WingTsun is really about.

  • @AlphaGenozid

Please read my website before commenting unqualified. Noone claims that you´ll be a master after 10 days of training. The course is for advanced students and technicians. You will LEARN the complete system and UNDERSTAND and DOCUMENT it with all details. Then everybody will have the real chance to learn at home over the follwing years and refine it. A free repetition/reenforce seminar for those who will have questions after training at home will be offered too. Thanks for asking:-)

  • I don't understand you. You know exactly how long it takes only to teach Chi-Sao ... it takes years. The reason is called "practise". It's not possible to learn without practise. Your WT still looks great.

  • @Amerigo73

The bootcamp is not targeted to beginners, but to advanced student degrees or technician levels. These people are able to learn much faster. No one will master the content within 10 days, but he will be able to make quick progresses at home due to the fact he has an overview of the whole picture and understands how all parts work together and which functions the cover. Understanding is key to be able to correct yourself. If there are not secrets left, things beginn to flow.

  • @SifuMartinDragos: I'm a 1st degree Technician. What you say here is the basic and fundamental key to all learning and I truly hope that we all find the right teachers to help us find our way. That doesn't mean you'll learn the Biu Tze footwork in 10 days. Thanks for clarificiation.

  • @Amerigo73

Most people are just used to not getting much infos and explanations. Thus they are loosing years of their liftetime without progress. If you would have a teacher who really explains you EVERYTHING and who would correct and lead you ACTIVELY with a time deadline, than progress is possibe in unknown amounts. Most instructors themselves dont have deep understanding, so their students progress automatically tends to be poor by nature. Believe me, if have 30 years of experience.

  • @SifuMartinDragos: you are right. Of course. But that's part of a student's learning process. How to find a good teacher (Sifu) who knows about the whole system and who knows how to teach. Have you ever had training with Emin or Salih Avci? These are good teachers, and you learn very fast with them. Also Tassos from Greece is great. Anyway, good luck for your school!

  • Old skool hardcore wing chun.Impressive...well done. You refer to the COMPLETE system of Wing Chun. What exactly ARE the components of the complete system?

  • @ATACXGYM

    - Basics: Siu Nim Tao, Cham-Kiu, BiuTze-Form, MokYanChong-Form, Stepstraining, FightSystematics, Dan-Chi & Poon-Sao in Application, chi-Sao-Basics

    - Advanced program of the technician levels 1-5: 19 Chi-Sao-Sektion in Theory and Application (7 Siu Nim Tao and Chum-Kiu chi-Sao Section, 4 BiuTze Chi-Sao-Sections, 7 Wooden Dummy +Chi-Sao-Sections, Chi-Gerk and Tripod-Applications)

    - Master-Level-Programs 6-7: Longpole and Double Knives in Theory and Application

Its a lot of work to do.
