Oh thank the gods they replaced the american woman with the brit from Season 2. The former tend to compromise the higher level humour of british comedies with their drawl-ish humour and accent - compared to Brit short, sharp humour and accent.

They are appropriate for American sitcoms as i don't expect Brit standards when it comes to American sitcoms. But in a Brit sitcom. Well, that's like having a full English breakfast in a burger.

Sally Bretton was a fantastic bit of casting; she's gorgeous, and funny. I care about the character, even though I think we're meant to find her standoffish. To Lee, anyway.

And I don't get why people say there is no character development in this, and that it is just a vehicle for Lee Mack and Tim Vine's jokes. I disagree, I think there is character development, and I care about all of them.
