  • So cute.

  • possums are easy to catch lol i scared one time i jumped out of a garbage can and the possum jumped up then started to "fall over, dead" in mid air. i should have adopted him cuz he was cute anyways :P

  • It's nice to see someone treating a oppossum kindly for once. They are not aggressive animals and I've only seen them act aggressively when their lives have been threatened, and even then, they are far more defensive than offensive. I had a neighbor who smashed one so hard with a shovel one day that it not only killed the oppossum but broke the fence. What did the oppossum do to deserve this? Nothing. He just didn't like his dog barking at it on the fence.

  • My two dogs caught a opossum a few days ago, and when I went out there to see what all the racket was, my dog ran to me with the opossum in it's mouth. I thought for sure it was dead. I put the opossum in a hefty garbage bag, tied it up and threw it in the trash can. Next morning I went to go throw away another bag of trash, and there was the opossum just chillin and lookin up at me sitting next to a ripped up hefty bag. I called animal control and they picked him up and took him away

  • Oh my god that's adorable.

  • Yes opossums are very good natured and for the people the save them and relocate them, THANK GOD YOUR HERE TO HELP! Sometimes animals look ugly to people but are the best animals to love! If a person was ugly, do u say ewwww kill em!!!???? NO NO ! Grow up! Get an education!

  • I catch Ground Hogs out of my Back yard because they eat up my garden plants before it can grow food sometimes Raccoons and Opossums end up in my trap. I relocate them a few miles away in the forest away from the neighborhood.

  • And to the person wo said they feed them-CATFOOD... They love them some catfood =)

  • @newtube- actually opossums are opportunistic creatures and naturally nervous. They travel constantly, sometimes 3 or 4 miles in a night. They also only stay in the same place for a few days before moving on... Once scared of something in one place,it will move on quickly.. they are also N Americas ONLY marsupial and been around for 70million yrs. =) Very cool =)

  • That's awesome that you released it =) I handraise them here in Florida and until you've had the chance to be around one and actually see them, you'll have that negative opinion of them. They are actually really cool little creatures!

  • yuck. shoot it bro. we got heeeeaps here in new zealand if you run 'oot'. they're better looking too.

  • Are they vicious???

  • i have about 20 of these in my basement 2 got in their made a home their and made some love next day 20

  • people act like it's a 911 call with possums! i have a possum that lives along side my cats and i have no problem with it. i've had mine a year now and his name is awesome.

  • But what if there was his or her family that you removed him or her from?

  • @FruittisMaris Hi, I appreciate your concern. In Ontario, Canada we are required to only relocate within the animal's home range. Therefore this oppossum will continue to live close to where it was found, having continued access to known food and shelter. There would not have been any babies at the time of year (winter) when we caught this critter. BRAD

  • @gateswildlifecontrol so i guess possums arent as vicious as they look. they are everywhere where im at and they get huge. i probably wouldnt have picked it up like you did unless i knew it was going to react like that, so thats a typical reaction? if ur careful you can just pick them up by the scruff of the neck? too many sharp teeth for me to want to try. thats my rule of thumb-if it has teeth, then it bites lol.you ever try to grab a fully grown adult coon? they'll leave u with a bloody stump

  • @GMCman82 Raccoons are little bears.

  • @ProzacWater lol ya may as well be, they will maul you just the same

  • @FruittisMaris thanks for the info! I feed a possum who comes here! I give it what ever I have! I just want to make sure that it eats cause I feel bad and I hate seeing them dead in the road!

  • @FruittisMaris They are doing well in North America. My big old tom cat likes to see them, he doesn't bother them, he just finds em, and when he sees one, of course it sits still, playing possum. My old tom cat thinks that is cool, he edges up to the possum and looks at him for, sometimes five minutes. He is a smart cat, I bet he is wondering, "WTF?"

  • @ProzacWater I love my possum! He's outside! I just call him Stewie! After another you tuber with a possum named Stewie! I just give Stewie enough food to make sure he's not going hungry!

  • SO CUTE !!!

  • It is great to see someone who actually cares about the wildlife, thank you!

  • @mamaloochie Thanks for your kind words. We wish more wildlife removal companies were not just in it for the money. Take care!
