@dabadguy4273 mine it happens also on the original ones. when i play one original disc like mr. driller there are some days which it works and which it doesn't work. when it doesn't work it freezes to the PS logo or to select language after selected language or sometimes it loads but the music is corrupted.sometimes it even scrambles the PS logo (it turns a strange shape).

Turns out the brand of disk was the problem. It wouldn't boot cuz of the imation brand disk. I bought some sony brand disks and they work but I have to boot them with a gameshark cuz I have a V4 PS2

I burned a backup on a "imation" brand CD-r but when I put it in the PS2 it appears as an audio CD. And when I put it in my computer to test on a emulator it works. I'm assuming its the disc brand that prevents this trick from working.

when i do this. llike, when i use my slide card to open the cd tray, and once its out it makes a constant sound that sounds like somthing is holding the disk down when its ment to be spinning and when i put in my back up disk it stops but then theres another sound and i hit x on the cd picture in my browser

and the screen just goes black and nothin happens...

PAL-E=PAL-E backup:ok

but:

Your talking about the fliptop swap method, yea, but its risky when the disc spinner is moving. It could scratch your cd. Its best to use the swap card. Make sure your psx/ps1 game can boot up, and check tot see if its playible. If its mess up, but the CD is shown on the ps2 browser, but dont pass the psx logo, then that cd wont work. Its best for your to install the MC Exploit.

My backup is fine I checked by running it on an emulator on my computer. When I swap the ps1 game like you showed it launches the main sony screen but just freezes there. I have waited over an hour and tried and repeated 500 times and I even burned about 20 different games. I call bullshit on this video there must be a mod chip. I am using an original old school ps2.

Flip your slim over so you can see the bottom. On the sticker, try to find a code starting with SCPH. If it's 5000 or above, you can use PSXlaunch.elf by soft modding your memory card and then putting the file on your mem card.

What happens when you need to swap to disc 2? Can you just use the tool again get the disc out and put disc 2 in?

I found a way to do it. When you get to a part where you switch disks, it usually asks you to save first. So save the game and when it prompts you to switch, you can turn of the console, then repeat the process of shown on the video with the next disc. You usually could load the file you saved earlier with the nex
