I don't know what to say about spore. The game itself is passable because I am a casual gamer. But the DRM that EA fucking put in has been in my computer for 5 fucking months and I don't know how to get rid of it! Get it if it's for consoles or get a pirated copy without the DRM. DRM slows down your computer by alot. And it doesn't go away if you uninstall the game.

If you bought it recently it should run the game well, but if it's older than 2008 (when the game was released) you might want to look at your computers specifications. (in the start menu right-click computer and click properties)
Then look at Spore minimum requirements, which you will probably find on Google.

Spore needs a mode where you can select a stage, and a creature, and try to survive, against other players. It would make it a lot more advanced then "go around and friend a bunch of creatures so you can be a tribal guy" and would in all make it a better game. It also needs more weapons.

@happyblackie You can, you need to terraform a planet to T3, place a monolith, wait till one of the creatures has reached space stage (aprox. 15 minutes) and then conquer or buy the system and you'll (in most cases, not all) have an homeplanet :) I did this on 2 planets with Purple spice and it made me so much money, it was like I was using a money cheat xD every 5 minutes I could make 14 million from those 2 colonies :P
great game but they could have done way better on the civilization stage. at least make the weapons projectile type diffrent depending on the weapon equiped

Spore is a game that the player needs to make fun for themselves. just have fun in the editors and take your creature, vehicle, building, or planet into the universe. Galactic Adventures is fun for that.

@BridsonArts unfortunately the beta version had more glitches that a mid fifties supercomputer, and by the time Maxis was able to work out enough glitches to make spore remotely marketable, EA, the distributer, had convinced them to start aiming the game towards slightly younger players, removing much of the challenge and complexity.
@Thesefragus129 i have spore and its a really fun game. the different ways of gaming are very fun to play with and customizing is the best part of the game. you can choose to be aggresive and evil or good natured or just neutral on each stage. although it is some what easy it is still fun. in the video it is a bit right that sometimes it gets boring with repetitive acts but in space mode there is alot of much more stuff you can do. i usually use cheats since it makes it much more amazing.

@toneset I watched the GDC demo video and it seemed more realistic and made more sense rather than the new cartoon game ment for children that cant stand the sight of blood or violence so i would prefer the older game.

@32sponge First of all, it wasn't ment for children. It was ment for everyone! And it didn't have that charming Spore-fell to it. It's still a fun game, even though it isn't realistic.

its a nice game but it gets a bit easy right after the midway point of the creature stage but i gotta say messing with lower level lifeforms on space stage

If you want just the creature editor just buy the 10 buck Creature Creator and for a sampler try out the free trial (unlimited time limited creature parts but still fun)
