He definitely did.

Just listen to 'Live After Death', he can't live up to his OWN performance.

He makes it sound good by just sounding good or having a workaround, that's a different story. But he definitely had trouble reaching the right notes.

Not to say that Blaze is any better, Blaze can sound absolutely amateuristic in many performances.

But don't say Bruce never ever had any trouble, he will even admit it.

I will always be thankful to Blaze for filling the gap until 1999's return of Adrian and Bruce.....but I don't think he sounded that great consistantly live the way Bruce does....his best song to me is Man on the Edge.... and Bruce sings Lord of the Flies...Sign of the Cross, the Clansman.........to perfection

You all can say whatever you want about Blaze's singing, but I just can't picture this song with Bruce Dickinson from the studio. Don't get me wrong I love Bruce's voice, but all of this songs were created for the unique style and deep voice of Blaze, it is very inmature to compare or attack any of Iron's singers, because by doing it, you miss the oportunity of enjoying the great music created by Murray, Harris, Mc Brain, Gers and of course Bayley on this album.

Blaze did a decent job in Maiden and two very good albums but as a live performer and vocalist he is a long long way behind Bruce IMHO .I actually thought Doogie White who auditioned for Maiden when Bruce left would have been a great vocalist for Maiden he did a brilliant job in Rainbow
