I encounter a problem, if I shot many pictures in a time of 4 hours for example would I would last the battery charge? if I change the battery could move the camera ...
@GanEdenVideo I honestly don't remember, I'm sorry. It has been a while and it was my first attempt with time lapse on my T2i. I didn't get it exactly right either but it worked out. I've learned that it all depends on what you are trying to capture and that using filters or turning your f-stop to like 20 or something and then dragging your shutter to a slower speed definitely helps. It keeps things from being so rigid and really helps add motion blur that you would see when shooting video.
This is great! I plan on doing stuff like this with my friend soon. However, a tip in the future I personally would have done maybe 1 pic every 5 seconds and also I would have turned on the frame blending feature. Great vid though!
If you've got a heavy ND or VariND filter, try and respect the 180 rule and get frame exposures closer to half the interval time. This would make the clouds move more smoothly.
@LongshotGaming Magic Lantern is software that is added to the camera. It has a lot of functions but specifically for this video I used the intervalometer feature to shoot time lapse photos without the need of additional hardware or controls. Then I just dropped all the photos into the timeline in Sony Vegas and rendered it out as video. Hope that helps. Just google Magic Lantern Firmware for more info.
@rastablader Thanks! The camera isn't actually tilting upwards. I did that in post by zooming in the picture for a tighter crop then I had the video slowly move up to get that effect.
@cokeakohla With magic lantern there is a setting for timelapsing that takes a picture every 10 seconds or every 5 or every whatever. it just takes a bunch of pictures then in your editing system you put them all in the correct order and make a timelapse with them.
wow that is cool!

Love the video. But I was wondering how you make the camera slowly tilt upwards throughout the video?

Is the time lapse option in Magic Lantern or the standard option for the T2i?
