This is an interesting video of an imposter pope. The effort in using a white cassock, white zucchetto, and white fascia is right on to attempt to make the fake realistic. However, the color of the shoes are not JPII's style, he would have used brown or reddish-brown shoes. Further, the Holy Father would always have his coat of arms on his fascia.

I don't think it's the Pope because even though it's just a softball cage, you'd think that they'd have the Pope WEAR A BATTING HELMET. How did you guys miss that?

I do not think this is Wojtyla. The priests are not dressed correctly. They seem to have white towels around their necks! Also, where is the security, for crying out loud? Considering the pope who survived attempted assassination, this character seems pretty much at ease with letting loose in a batting cage with a film crew. This doppelganger is damn close in appearance. But the hairline is wrong... the nose is wrong... this is a fine hoax, but a hoax it is nonetheless.

It's not him. He never wore white shoes. He preferred Gucci loafers. Also his attendant priests are not dressed in correct garb. He always has bishops and cardinals around him, plus security. None there.

Did these people who used John Paul II's image pay royalties to the Vatican? JPII never endorsed any private business engaged in a for profit venture. In my opinion the Vatican should have sued these people. Any other business that uses someone's logo/image without permission is sued. We have many examples out there in the business world.

Yes, very good fake. The pope would have very identifing marks. His cinture would have his papal coat of arms. Also he almost always had a gold cross on a chain connected to the shoulder cape. Not to mention the other priests collars are not even close to real.

i it's not the pope. Actor is quite similar, but it is not Karol Wojtyła. Pope's face was diffrent, and voice lower.

I do NOT think this is Pope John Paul II. His nose is different and he seems to lack his quiet dignity.The ressemblance is great though, so I can also say NICE TRY ! John Paul should be object of far more respect. He was a great man, probably a saint.

Yeah, the pope was an avid sportsman, and actually "Snuck" out of the vatican, and went skiing with some of his bishop friends often, sometimes 3 times a week. i just wanna see Benedict 16 doin some American Gladiators!

I am Sorry to say this video is fake Pope JPII always wore simple brown shoes, had less whiter hair and there is no accent in this video and the most damning piece of evidence-his shoulders are not rounded the real popes were, due to a hereditary condition not to mention the priests collars are false

THAT is not the pope. Like ^ said, the pope didnt wear white shoes, and he didnt have THAT much hair. He did keep his hair cut you know, not to mention the accent that seems to be lacking.
