Honestly the spraying vette gave him a better run and no lie, he beat both from a dig. Barely! I think you can find it on here. I'll ask him what the vedio title is.

@AWDsome08 If you did take out a head/cam z06 he had a very bad tune or a baby cam and some ported stock heads. It takes a lot for a STI to run with a Head/Cam z06. PS: The z06 in this video now has a ls2 402 stoker making 550whp.
I often see STi's description "built" pretty much anywhere. "Built" Refers to the motor, not the rest of the setup. He was probably running pump on a 30r, or a stock frame 3076 or the like. A 35r STi on e85 is a fast ass car, it really is. Most "built" STi's on here arent even close to that, why they build the motor and put a dinky ass turbo on them is beyond me (spool, auto x maybe?)
@jimmytheas Built forged motor on this sti. yes stock location 30r. Most people use stock location turbos because they have already started modding and it is cheaper to pop a bigger stock location turbo then start all over with a rotated kit. He also didn't go bigger because of lag. He liked his setup and his car ripped pretty damn good up till 4th and 5th gear. This was pump gas he also ran race gas and was around 480is whp.
@jimmytheas PS: Not everyone wants a turbo that spools at close to 5k rpm. I think anything bigger then a 30r or DOM 3 is less fun on the street were spool and torque make a fun car. Not having to worry about being in the right gear always just to have any power.

You can build anything and im not saying you cant build and sti. With enough boost, you can make anything quick. But the truth of tue matters is that this vetter is practically stock. It has no power adder whatsoever. All it has is exhaust to help it breathe, tune in order for the timing and air fuel ratio to be optimal, and lightened flywheel so that the engine can rev freer. No nitrous. No boost. No domed pistons. No stroke. Nothing. Off the line or not, this vette is a nice high 11 second car

I'm a huge Vette fan too but brodie, you haven't crossed paths with an STI that has any serious mods yet. When you come across an STI with a built block and a 35r at minimum, hit me up. I'm a huge corvette fan, I'm actually picking up a c5 z06 in a few months. But, I can almost guarantee if this race was off the line, it'd be a whole different story lol.

Ps, my STi beat a z06 with heads, cams, intake, exauhst. I'm at a mild tune with 460whp 450ft. But, I'd still love to own me a zo6 someday. :)
