Hola suena genial. Me mandarias la lista de componentes porque estaba por empezar a hacer uno pero me gustaria hacerlo sonar mas bien como un overdrive. Espero no te moleste. Un saludo desde Argentina!
Will the micro amp give you a volume boost if you run it directly into the front of an amp or does it have to go through the loop? I ask because i dont like using my loop 'cause it tends to kill the tone quite a bit, but i really need a volume boost for leads! Cheers. \m/_
If run in front of a clean amp it will give a volume boost, or when you use distortion pedals and run if after the distortion in the amps clean channel. If using with the distortion channel on the amp, it will only add more saturation not volume. FX loop perse dont tend to color the sound that much, if you use a bunch of pedals on the loop, one might be messing with your tone. Try plugging one at a time to see how they affect the sound. When used in the loop it will increase the level.
If you find the fx loop kill a bit of the highs (like with Marshalls) that doesn't necesarily mean a bad thing since most times when using a lead boost you are increasing the mids on purpose, so a micro amp here in this case will give a nice solo tone with less highs that will cut trough the mix.
Thanks for the reply mate. Yeah it was a an eq pedal in the loop that was killing the tone. I tried both boss and mxr but got the same bad result. I should prob get better guitar leads. No point in having £1300 amp and using £15 leads. I'll chance the micro amp and put it in the loop using better leads! Thanks again mate! \m/_
glad to help! Dont worry about the cables too much, honestly... I have the Boss GE-7 and it did color the sound when using it on my marshall 's loop. Even with the dd-6 delay I get some highs rolloff. If you really like your amp (like I do jeje), then you need to work with those FXs that dont mess that much with the tone when placed in the loop.
se suena todo tu pedalcito che!! buen trabajo man!
