We did that on purpose. Our tribe of hippies, while one big family, had cliques within it. If you watch all the videos you can find the characters that "match" each other :)
Thanks! She's not preggers for several reasons actually. lol. We changed a lot of the character elements around because it was a youth theatre group, and we had some pretty young kids in the cast. Also, we were associated with a catholic church at the time, so HAIR wasn't exactly their cup of tea to begin with, and having pregnant teenagers and cross dressers wasn't high on their to-do list. :)
Sorry but I'm confused as to why then you would choose to do HAIR? I know its an amazing show, my all time favorite actually, but by making those kinds of changes you aren't staying true to the show, its meaning, and its purpose...
We did stay very true to the meaning of the show. The point of HAIR, was not just to be controversial, but capture a moment in history. To espouse the importance of peace and the futility of war. To show that regardless of background people come together in common goals and dreams.
We some of the drugs and other elements that would be considered risque for a youth theatre group but we stayed on point with the message!
This was also 5 years ago and we've since moved on...

I saw the Broadway version recently and I really like the part about how she's radioactive and glows in the dark, but you don't have that in here.
