I was out looking to see if I could help anyone after cowering under a mattress. its was so surreal that night. people were out in force helping though. it was good to see the community come together so quickly. The thing that scares me is that Lamar county doesnt have a shelter for storms.. I called the sheriffs and asked.
man thats crazy damage, that very same tornado came through flovilla, a few miles down the road from me. it went through an area of nothing but pine trees and left 6 to 12ft tall pine stumps with the tops nowhere to be found. that was the craziest damage to me.
