go to redsn0w, press jailbreak, it will go into DFU, this is normal, when it comes up untick 'install cydia and it should appear to be jailbreaking, then it will boot

Restore the I phone that happen to my IPod touch and u plug it in passed the home button and the power button at the same time then go to ITunes and it say restore passed the restore then it should work

1. Have iPod or iPhone pre-connected to Computer and have iTunes open

2. On iPod or iPhone, hold the home and power button for 10 seconds.

3. After said seconds, let go of the power Button and it should go into recovery mode.

4. Your computer will notice your iPod or iPhone plugged in and iTunes will recognise it asking you to Restore your iPod or iPhone as it is in recover mode.

It might be a little late, but if u have any other problem, jus hold the home butten and the sleep butten at the same time and if that doesn't work plug it into iTunes and press those two buttons. Ps I'm young and have the iPhone 4s. Not to brag but the same thing happened to me to!

Easy done mate all you have to do Is do the dfu mode thing have your phone connected to iTunes then it should say on I tunes your phone is recovery mode you need to restore before you can use it with iTunes. hhey hold the dfu mod when it turns on keep holding the 2 buttons untill it turns off now when its fully off turn it on by plugging it in ur pc nd hold home button then dfu mode will be there

Dude I had a similar problem the logo would appear then the screen would turn white then the same thing would happen again as a loop. What I did to solve it was connect it to my computer making sure that I have the right version of itunes, holding the home and power button together until the screen turn black as if it was turn off to start again then immediately when that I happen I release the power button but I kept on holding the home button then Itunes recognized my phone to restore it

In my Case it was the Motherboard. I put it into a brand new iPhone 3G, and it made exactly the same errors. This is relatively uncommon though.

Proceed Linke this:

Connect to PC.

Switch off your phone (hold powerbutton long, then slide to switch off)

Then:

1. Hold the home button for 3 seconds.

2. Hold down the power button while pressing Home button. for 10 Seconds.

3. Then reslease power button, but continue holding the home button for about 30 seconds.

@Utubezzy when you restore your iPhone, iTunes makes a backup of your contacts, messages, and settings before it deletes all the information off your phone. After it is restored, you can restore your contacts, messages, etc with the backup file. :)

However, i did get it into Recovery mode.. i guess there is a difference.. but yea i was able to get the iphone recognized by itunes and restored the ispw

@Superspeedysupra If you are able to get your device into RM, use iREB to fix the RM loop. If all else fails, here's what I do all the time: first, I download sn0wbreeze 2.1, and create a custom IPSW for iOS 4.1. I will put my iPhone 3GS into DFU using iREB RC2 and make it jailbreakable. Once ur phone is in DFU, you use iTunes to restore to custom iOS 4.1. That works for me! BUT MAKE SURE YOU HAVE IOS 4 SHSH!
