Dude... 1 out of 5 gay teens try to commit suicide. 1 out of 10 succeed. They're the second highest suicide rate behind the elderly. Why do you think they do this? @raztis1 I think to kids who is coming out or starting to accept themselves, such negative use of words can have negative effect on them, it relates that to something bad or evil and then they will feel disgusted with themselves, I'm gay and I do find it annoying sometimes, and when they said "Homo!" too. I think we all just need to be more aware of what we say or the language we use because it might have negative effects on people without knowing it.

True, some people are homophobic because they have feelings they are trying to cover up. But simplifying it down to that as you did is just idiotic.
Most homophobia comes from culture. Evangelical and Catholic churches, street gangs, ect. all have 'codes' that detest homosexuality.

Im 36 and Iv been in the closet my whole life and still am. I have to say that I feel my life has been a fake life. I still get treated wrong just because Im not what they want me to be. Or because they cant figure me out and everyone I know is perplexed by me. I have 14 brothers and sistrs/35 nieces & nephews they all speak this way. I realize it comes down to bieng brave enough to do it. I mean to just admit it say it or whatever. But.....its VERY scary and a big deal. Life as I know it will be so different. By the way =) I love this song. It does get annoying with all the effin gay slurs though. The gay names are strangely and intensly piercing. I mean they really hit you like rocks.
