  • For years tere were quesions about God that know one could ever anwsre after hours of thinking, and all the answered were answerd wth in 8 hours (The time it took me to read The Shack) Teachers were amazed that me a 13 year old was reading this book they said it was really avanced and I can see it. It was so confusing and I barely remember half of it, but tha means the next time I read it...... it will be that more amazing.

  • Great book!! I've grown closer to God after having read this book. I've recommeded it to othet friends are buying it and can't wait to read it. I can't puy this book down. What a journey for me. I love it!!! Don't hate!!!!

  • GOD IS GOOD

  • Excellent book!! Don't judge!! People are bashing the book!! It's fiction .. Very good book!! People have been led to the Lord thru this book!!! God can be whatever or whoever he wants to be!! End of story!!!

  • @2:43 Paul says "we have had a lot of bad theology that have created a god that is not on our side"

yes Bad Theology is why we have so many cults like Mormonism and Jehovah Witnesses. Paul thinks our understanding of the Trinity (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit) is too hard to understand so Paul creates a heretical story redefining the biblical nature, characteristics and attributes of God to somehow clear things up?

Paul has cheapened the biblical descriptions of God.

  • @00Gladiator1 Young says @2:52 "even as believers we get the idea that he is that he mad at us or at least based upon our performance, how we are getting along with him and I think part of that also comes down to the core that if there is any place to run to in the middle of our pain or our disappointment or wondering what is going on in our life it's not to God as God the Father, we might be able to go to Jesus because he can understand us".

Young has gone against the 1st & 2nd commandments.

  • @00Gladiator1 You ugly spawn of satan, crawl back to the infested anus from which you came from! Please take your mentally perverse and childlike understanding of syntax and context somewhere else. And God please forgive me for sinning against my brother.

  • @raybaboon Well bless your heart,

the truth may hurt but this work (the Shack) is truly heretical even in fiction, portraying the nature of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit differently from what the bible teaches is breaking the second commandment.

Making for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below?

Have you ever bowed down to them or worship them?

  • I can't even discribe my feelings during reading this book. I felt like I was there, with God, in this beautiful place that is greater than my big imagination. I consider myself as an artist and now I can really see that God gave me so many talents so that He can be through being me. The book has given me so many answers and now, more than ever, I'm not afraid of death. At all. I just want to give love to the people with my songs, texts and drawings. Is it so hard to understand?

  • I'm reading this book right know, i browwed it from my pastor and its AMAZING

  • The Shack became one of my favorite books the first time I read it.I have read it several times since and will read it several more times. I was at a seminar in Victoria BC where you spoke of the who, what, where, how and why-it was fantastic! You also signed the copy of my book which was so special.I can't say enough about the Shack its just that good!

  • Amazing book

  • I'm grateful for The Shack.

    I really do.

  • OF COURSE the 700 club would endoese this demonic work of fiction ....you will know them by thier fruits

  • This book was a lifesaver. All my life I was taught about a mean and distant God. After the Shack I at least have hope.

  • So, does this mean that atheists get saved too? If you have no relationship whatsoever with God, you still get to go to heaven? That is what the book implies.

  • @imlomb The book is not saying that. It is saying that God wants to redeem them. Papa even mentions that in his quest for redemption he desires a relationship and people reject it. So... If atheists reject God's grace and relationship then they also reject Him. However the message is: God still loves them even when they reject Him.

You can make that mean what you want it to mean I guess...

  • I want to know when movie will get in the movie theaters???????????

  • I'm so very thankful to my mom for passing The Shack onto me.

It was given to her from a friend after Grandma, her mom, and then Aunt Diane, her sister, passed, within 6 months of each other.

I have been living in my own Great Sadness for almost 7 years.

The deaths of those 2 women really hurt. And that was only a year ago. My life seemed to be unraveling, as I have been convincing myself that I too am close to death, even as a healthy 35 year old.

To put it simply, this book Saved me.Thank U

  • thankfullness from parents either , not really expressed well or in love. its like parents in such a big hurry and the thanks come out like Crap .. excuse my french! It is truth. I thank God for my Grandparents. They show a Godly love like shake. and well they have got a little less in there old age but i know them as the parents of love , my mom did. but dad just came home with blindness from work , and love cam off more like disspointment no matter how good.

  • @TheGeorgejungle Your English and grammar make it extremely difficult to understand what you are saying and talking about.

  • parents demand respect honor, alaways worry , if child say thank you. thinking a child dont have feeling of thankfullness, most time, its because parents are controlling, never let child express , never have patient long enough to senes and allow a child to express.. so many parents deceived on love what it is. I know what its like to be yelled at for un apprecitions , demandings of being cleaner , see being drove to clean, etc no reall

  • YOu better wake up. because , giants Goliath was not the only one. And the flood was to take the tainted blood line of offspring , conceived through a work of evil , if you have hard time excepting spirit as a seed, why only God can do that?? So can satan through the right doors opened .. I will say this, in the shack, I know this is a revealation from God. look at are world today? Love is miss taken. parents demand

  • I believe the shack should be made to movie. it will only help. Help IS Good. I will say that, I believe he had such experience. I had some . myself. that cant explain . yet. My grandfather had some and my dad. believe me when i say this, The old men of renown is not christian men who believe in God . NOah was that and he was not identified as that. NOah had words from encoh from God. IT is how he saw Grace in God .

  • the image of God is how we are also. christ was born of seed of God. And he only spoike the fathers words given at time of speaking. It is son of God born of his seed. Adam was born of dirt and breath . And well i think there is a difference. NO one can explain. except God. The eating of tree symbolic. many books are not in bible that once were. I sure would want to know more, yet im content with savior and answer later in eternity.

  • if we assign attributes to God that are not revealed in the Bible, we have created a new god (that is idolatry)

  • @norse82 That is a point where I am torn. Idolatry in this story... isn't the Trinity good? I'd like to believe the book, in how the Trinity is described, but it's not the picture that the Bible paints, is it?

  • @norse82 Spot on!!!

  • im not rly a religious one. I found it a good book but no more. Its worth to read it.

  • Being raised as an atheist, in an alcoholic family has it's difficulties. The Shack was so much more real to me than the Bible. Thank you for this book.

  • And God is NOT a person (6:40)

Romans 1:23-he looks nothing like human

    John 4:24-self explanatory

  • Woah woah, hold on. Did he just say that being a Christian is not about being given the Holy Spirit to be more like Christ?? 5:42-6:12

Um wrong. Way wrong. The sole purpose of the Holy Spirit is to convict us when we're in sin and turn us away from sin which makes us more like Christ!

  • The book is SO GOOD!!!!! My mom bought it for me for my birthday and I love it :)

  • i love this book so much!!! reading it over and over again!

  • I am amazed at the number of comments bashing this book because of the authors use of his fictional license. Nearly every single criticism that has been applied to the book, can applied to the Bible itself. You people never cease to amaze me with your complete lack of critical thinking skills.

  • Das Buch ist sau gut !!!

  • If Satan were to come out with his very own book, he wouldn't put ideals like drowning baby kittens and killing whales. That would be too obvious. He is intelligent and knows how to fool us. Fiction can do that - fool us by toying with our emotions.

  • This book is amazing and its very true, its not only his philosophy its universal i think, as i can say from some other books i have red.. I think that the world is idea, because people have to exist , is in their nature, and what pushes them to live is idea of knowing that they have to exist trough this world so they can reach some other and live in the love circle of relationship with God. Its an rational explanation of existence, maybe. What we cant know should not be very important for us.

  • @MrPaintfull You ain't "red" so much have ya? "Its an rational explanation of existence, maybe." ***Facepalm***

  • @MrPaintfull This book is pathetic. It has grammatical errors on EVERY single page and characters that are as deep as the plastic figures McDonald's give out in their Happy Meals. I've never read such an utter piece of crap in all my life!

  • @RelativeBadger No its not pathetic at all, its very deep and logical, and very simple. It is not the best book, but its good, it can not harm you or hurt you in any way, it can only help you to try to understand something that you cant, or you dont know how. It is just an idea. It is very deep, and it had an effect on me, and i belive i am a deep person.

  • I can't stand the way she keps breathing "yeah..." when he's talking.

    It's not about you missus!

  • Anytime a work of fiction is written with God in it, you should probly be suspicious. Even if it's fiction, if you're going to talk about God and the Bible, you can't throw in your own opinions and conceptions of how things "must be". It doesn't help anyone that is seeking help, instead causes MORE confusion. If it was really God's words being manifested, it wouldn't contradict the Bible. Seems like a product of human creativity to make the story flow the way the author wantd it.

  • @rebekitareggae "you can't throw in your own opinions and conceptions" - You mean like the ancient people who wrote the Bible did?

" If it was really God's words being manifested, it wouldn't contradict the Bible." You mean like the Bible contradicts... the Bible?

  • loved the book -

  • I loved this book!! It's metaphor and the characters used where totally different than what I am accustomed too, but mid-way thru I could feel the writer's message. My children honored me with this book as a birthday gift. And i have chosen to make this a gift to everyone's birthday I celebrate this year!!!

  • i absolutely love this book... its so good.. and when i finished it... i felt a lot better... it really helped me through my spiritual journey

  • beauty8908 noooooooooooooooooo>!!!! are you are boy

  • @beauty8908 -- You haven't read very many books have you?

  • shit video

  • This book is heresy! This book refers to God as a female! God is Our Father not our mother! This book also teaches universalism! I have a hard time believing the author is even a christian.

  • this story is fiction. it decribes the authors point of view of God.FICTION

  • WAIT? i dont understand....IS THIS BOOK TRUE OR HE MADE UP THIS STORY?

  • @majmucicmali He's very adamant that it is a fictional story. The model is true, but the factual info is fictional.

  • @majmucicmali It is a true story based on a false one; the Bible. :)

  • 700 club has gone down hill!

  • Fate attenzione è un eretico! This man is a Eretic! Danger!

  • This book undeniably invites people to approach God with trust in his goodness and his intention to nurture, heal and love them. That is in complete alignment with the Word of God. In addition, this book has accomplished this well. Does it really matter if it accurately or inaccurately DESCRIBED him? Anyway, all it was really saying, in essence, was "if God materialized to express himself to you, here is how he might appear" - it's an allegory to make a point.

  • @swampratzozzle " it's an allegory to make a point." - An allegory? You mean like the Bible right? Gotcha!

  • @smegmasaurus uh - not even close!

  • @swampratzozzle I am amazed at the number of comments bashing this book because of the authors use of his fictional license. Nearly every single criticism that has been applied to the book, can applied to the Bible itself. You people never cease to amaze me with your complete lack of critical thinking skills.

If you are smart enough to know that "The Shack" is an allegory, then what is preventing your from realizing that the Bible is too?

  • @smegmasaurus Evidence to the contrary. And no, I am not going to do your homework for you. YOU do the archeological, literary, scientific and historical research yourself, just like I did.

  • @swampratzozzle I have done my research and the fact that the Bible is nothing more than a collection of ancient myths and stories is no longer debatable. All one really needs to do is look up the "Abrahamic religions" and they SHOULD be able to clearly see that they all revolve around the same legends. Of course there are apologists like you who will go to any length in order to protect their beliefs and their egos. But you have no right to bring science into it if you believe the nonsense.

  • @smegmasaurus Well, its clear you have made up your mind, and will go to great lengths to protect your beliefs, so I certainly won't try to change it. Good for you!

  • Alright, smegmasaurus! Not sure what to say-I like the term "enlightened atheists"...I just can't get past the unbelievable physics that hold the universe together or the complexity of human life from conception to birth to..wow..all random? I'm landing with that dumbass, Isaac Newton, (known as one of the greatest scientists who ever lived) who said, “This most beautiful system [The Universe] could only proceed from the dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being.” On the Shack, it's a novel.

  • @chancellormaxwell2 Nice antiquated quote. Here is a current, and accurate, quote for you: " There is no heaven or afterlife for broken down computers; that is a fairy story for people afraid of the dark." - Stephen Hawking

Who are you going to quote back at me, Kirk Cameron? ***snicker, snicker***

  • Don't you Christians realize what a bunch of nonsense The Bible is? Can Christians even agree on their own fairy tales amongst each other, let alone other religions and the truly enlightened atheists. Please people, put down your nursery rhymes and spend your rime learning something useful for mankind or at least doing something positive. Religions is garbage and Christianity is the stinking puddle of waste left over after the can is dumped.

  • @smegmasaurus Hey, IF the God is not real & the Bible is just fairytale WHY DO YOU a-thiest spend so much time on christians web pages. If you are so Enlightened and have all truth(NOT) enlighten yourself to an a-thiest forum where you will not feel threatened.

    QUIT DRINKING THE KOOL-AID!!!!!!!!

  • @stanmanmo59 - We just wanna help.

  • Hi megmasaurus, just wanted to leave a comment because I am a Christian that once doubted the stories and words written in the Bible. From your comment, it seems like you haven't read the Bible (on your own) and actually stopped to process what it meant. Any text gets misinterpreted when taking it out of context, thats why people come up with so many misconceptions, they pick and choose what they want to talk about and distort the meaning completely, you have to refer it backto the ENTIRE text.

  • @rebekitareggae How much of it do you have to read before you realize it is pure fiction? I figured that out before I got through Genesis!

You can't use the book itself as proof of what is in the book. You need to question the source.

  • @ smegmasaurus contd:After I started reading it on my own, instead of listening to what ppl said about it I realized how LOGICAL the Word is,it's CONSTANT in the Truths, does not change evry yr like Science does when a scientist disproves a once proven " law". Wish I could tell you all the things I've learned but it would be impossible in this comment. I hope someday you allow the Holy Spirit to come to you.Fyi- God's spirit is manifested through love , not through arguing about who's right/wrong.

  • I do recommend that he modifies his next edition of his book and adds something that does clearly address the issue the woman raised about copying Jesus. If you read the book, that sentence by Jesus on page 149 clearly raises questions. He did explain what he meant in this video, but that is not how it comes across in the book.

  • I want to join The Shack Forum and can't get in. :o(

  • This book is so BADLY written. There are grammar mistakes on EVERY single page and the whole story is so trite, a 4 year old could have conceived it. This book was recommended to me by a friend, but once I got to the part where Jesus (or was it 'Mama') was baking cookies for apparently no-one, the whole thing fell apart. It is nonsense and quite clearly about an author struggling to come to terms with his own life, rather than characters in a book.

  • @RelativeBadger I want to defend this book, but I understand that not everything is for everyone. All I can say to you is that if you let a few easily overlooked grammatical errors keep you from reading this book and really going on the journey that the story provides, then perhaps you just don't need to read. He had no intention of being an author. I understand, to some degree, what you're saying; I loathe grammatical error, but you gotta get over it. It's a good book.

  • @RelativeBadger You fell victim to the "Missy Project" too, eh? Maybe we should start a support group for "Missy Project" survivors. We will call it S.A.D - Survivors of Asinine Drivel.

Reading that book was like vomiting in your mouth and trying not to swallow. Grammatical errors aside, it was by far the worst book I ever read.

  • as sarah palin says "Hows that workin for ya" ? When this guys dies and goes to hell

  • I love that God is not in a box, God spoke and light came flying out of his mouth to give us the sun. If He can do that and everything else he has done and will do then Sure He can show up in any shape or form to show us something and help us understand things that have happened in our lives. If I could only say two words about this book, it would have to be, "WOW GOD!!" :)

  • and if you read it you're eyes will bleed,

    your ass will shrivel up,

and your ears will turn into pickles.

  • @MalusDeo - You forgot to mention that you will vomit in your own mouth. The book should come with a warning: "Choking Hazard!"

  • 60 Spammer's dislike this vid.

Thumps up if you love the book ''The Shack'' ! :)

  • @DrogenKinder100 its prolly due the fact that it is full of heresy. and the 700 club a "christian" broadcast endorses it. thats the only reason people hit dislike.

  • @zitan17 " its prolly due the fact that it is full of heresy" LOL - Like the Bible is full of BS?

  • @DrogenKinder100 shit video

  • this book is heresy. how dare he portray God as a woman and the Holy Spirit as a woman. this is not the true trinity.

  • @tinkandray Who are you to know the right answer!

  • @tinkandray In the end of the book Papa is portrayed as a man. I think that because Mack was struggling so hard to see a loving Heavenly Father because He was so hurt by his biological father. Even while Papa was in the form of a woman Jesus still referred to God as 'Him' or 'He'.

  • @tiaera92 If you sit and try and analyse this book, you will become as sad as its author - one of the top 5 most pathetic books to have EVER been published.

  • @tinkandray you have no idea what you're talking about, he portrays God as a woman and a man. You can't say that god is a man because god is created in the image of all of us.

  • @tinkandray Heresy, you say? What's funny is that it says in the Bible, and I believe that this still holds true, that people will come to know God by our love for one another.

  • This book is amazing, its changed my perspective and i have a better understanding of God. i love it. thank you William Paul Young! amazing job.

  • im on chapter 2 as we speak

  • This lady wants to suck his dick or something, holy

  • this guy has actually got IT! love the book and pass it on all the time as gifts.

  • @weinkeable - "pass it on all the time as gifts." I'll bet your friends and family just LOOOVVVE you for that. LMAO I got it as a gift and I promised I would read it. By the time I got to the middle I was so disgusted I had to take a break for a week and force myself to get through it. I'm not kidding when I say it was like choking on your own vomit. If you give it to anyone intelligent, then they will think much less of you. Seriously, the will.

  • Asian women on the street lushfmlk.info

  • i just picked this book up.....cant wait to read it....

  • @LICKMERITE26 Hello. have you read the book?

  • I absolutely loved this book. The idea that God can appear to us at any time in any form is so foreign to many of us. That is why it is a problem for someone to think that he could appear to us as a woman and a black one at that. Or as an asian woman. We limit our creator, and cannot believe he can appear to us in any form he desires. If we could see that. We would not treat one another the way do because it may be him we are misstreating.

  • @smilen9 -- Yeah, those SURE were some GREAT ideas! I think I'll write a book and make God appear as a talking dog who constantly scratches his ass on the carpet and humps your legs. I'm sure it will be a best seller because if you people liked this piece of crap book, you will absolutely read anything

  • The Shack is an amazing book. So beautiful.

  • this is a great work of fiction, if it helps anybody find their faith then surely that's a good thing. for those who do not have a faith then that's their choice, its not for me or anyone else to judge.

  • @Ogusha1, although you deserve to be ignored for your ignorance, I will pay you the attention that you are obviously seeking. Paul Young is an artist, a incredibly creative writer. If you had an ounce of love in your life, if you believed and loved the God that Paul Young loves and believes in, then you would live a life with less hate. Join the team, Jesus loves you... even though the only "s. m. f.'' is you.

  • @sofig19 haha Let me guess, you're an american, right?Oh you people are full of loving and understanding and believing in god..ofcourse in days when you are not bombing the shit out of nearly every country and killing a lot of innocent people.Young-artist?Hardly..I-Hate?Hardly.And how can i be modern when i criticize modern books?I don't doubt his beliefs..i am only saing that this book is shalow and i guess you haven't read any of people a mentioned.Try Dostoyevsky he is deep and a true believer.

  • i love america, my country but hahaha thats pretty fucking funny. oh the religious are hilarious in our country.

  • P.S. As John Cleese (From Monty Python) once said: " America - nation of bible thumping morons"...Checkmate!

  • FUCK I THOUGHT IT WAS REAL!!!

  • it is fiction and its good.

  • @BuckeyeWorld The Book is fiction

  • wait so is this a true story? this all happend? is mack real?

  • ok, i like alot of what he says, but i do disagree with some of it. i did think it was an amazing book though

  • Hollywood should be making movies from books like The Shack instead of Da Vinci code crap!

  • Heritic

  • Hey everyone. If you don't think that Universalism or the Gospel of Inclusion are real, read 1 Timothy 2:1-6 KJV. Here you will read that God "WILL have ALL men to be SAVED and come to the knowledge of truth". 1 Timothy 4 around 9-10 KJV says that God is the "Savior of ALL men, especially those that believe". In Colossians 1:18-20 KJV we see that Christ died to "reconcile ALL things" to God. Colossians 3 KJV tells us that "Christ is ALL, and in ALL" You can't argue with that!

  • I "love" about people when they think about deeper things with modern shallow books...this is one very shallow book...If you want to ask some deep question about god and life...don't read Young or Coelho or Den Braun...read Nietzsche, Sshopenhauer, Kant, Decartes,Camus, Andric, Krleza, Weininger, Miljkovic, Kafka, Aristotel, Plato...(writers and philosophers) read people who really thought something and not this stupid assholes you stupid modern fucks!

  • @Ogusha1 Wow...because you cursing at people and showing a lack of respect will really convict them to go and read the words of men, some of them whose lives were undone by their OWN doings.

  • @Ogusha1 -- The positive comments on this book make me lose even more respect for the average Christian. It appears that they will revel in anything that agrees with their twisted ideology. Even the negative comments from Christians are disheartening. They all criticize the author for painting unrealistic and fanciful images of characters from an unrealistic and fanciful religious text. If any of them had an ounce of critical thinking skills, they would be reexamine their own beliefs.

  • @ele12957returns Papa was both a woman and then a man - and the deciding difference was Mac's need to see a certain side of God. This is absolutely biblical. Of course God is male and female - Adam was created in his image BEFORE woman was separated out of him.

  • it is the best Book everrrrrr

  • WOW! No matter how much space I used to summarize my experience with this book it wouldn't give it justice. God is awesome and I have no doubt He would want folks to read this....process this.....create your own personal relationship with "Papa" and subsequently, better your relationship with the rest of the world! Mr. Young...thank you for listening when "Sarayu" inspired you to write this.

  • The book is filled with half truhts and outright heresies.

  • Hey guys.

In high school I made a short film about this book, encouraging people to read it and find out more behind it, and what really happens in the end.

You can watch the video on my CHANNEL or in the VIDEO RESPONSE.

Tell me what you think about it. - Thanks.

  • @MichaelFrymus I'll bet your classmates REALLY appreciated having to watch that! ***snicker snicker*** FAIL

  • @smegmasaurus

    douche

  • What a book! This book mocks the God of the Bible, possibly unwittingly, but surely it should be disregarded as a Christian book. Very sad that Christians in America seem to love books that preach another gospel all because of the way it makes them feel.

I think I will stick to God's true word that reflects His true character and will advise others to do the same. He gave us the Bible for a reason and that is to mature us through the study of it, so that we may exercise discernment.

  • This book is so awesome! I hope eventually a movie is made on it!

  • i think people need to remember this is a work of fiction! if u do not like this piece of work or this interview then dnt read the book or watch these clips! for those who are ranting against this book please remember that it is not ur place to judge ppl just let them be. we all have different views and that is the way of the world - i dnt judge you for your views so dnt judge me for loving this book & having my own opinion.

  • Comment removed

  • @joheinimadeleu I wish I was powerful enough to tell the whole world the way they "Should" have a relationship with him, or send "shame" down on people, or tell them where they stand with him. Ok I don't wish that, and glad I don't have too.

  • Heresy!!

  • @FLIPWORLDUPSIDEDOWN3

    Waht is?

  • This a fiction book with a good message. Your Man made religion that speaks of herresy is yours to keep! I choose to have a relationship with God.

  • The 700 Club missed it on this one. Completely. They are looking at books sales and offerings from a best-selling author, nevermind that his whole premis is based on unsound doctrine. This is heartbreaking to me. I can't believe that Pat fell for this. I sincerely pray that they operate in better discernment.

This is the bottom line: The Shack vs. The Cross. Please beloved, please choose The Cross.

  • @bella50008 What is so unsound? Papa says many times that every thing is about Jesus and what He did on the cross. Do you not agree?

  • @josiahdocscurlock ...Demons can say anything they want. Case in point: a girl followed after Paul for days exclaiming "These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to you the way of salvation." After a few days Paul turned around and cast the demon out of her. Why? Because she was demon possessed and was being used by satan to shift attention from the Cross to herself (demon entity). Paul had spiritual discernment, something so greatly lacking in the church and apparently at CBN.

  • @bella50008 What was the case in Jesus day was that Demons were calling Christ the " Son of God " and the religious folks were saying he had a demon... lol, so what religious folks think doesn't really matter to me. I mean, how do we know that you're not some KKK supporter who can't imagine that God could manifest himself as a large black woman?

  • @josiahdocscurlock ...you don't know that I am not a KKK supporter..blah, blah, blah. But that isn't really the issue is it?The issue is that the spirit of the word of God and the spirit of the shack are diametrically opposed. This is very difficult for many christians to understand because they do not have or do not utilize spiritual discernnent. BTW I have nothing against large black women. My concern is the spirit that propels this heresy USING images that are currently politically correct.

  • @bella50008 Come on Bell, give me some examples. Right now you're just spouting opinion, and as i've already told you, i don't care about opinion from religious people. What specifically are you referring too ? What quote from the shack, that you say you've read, can you give me and then give Bible against it?

  • @josiahdocscurlock

The problem with Paul Young & the Shack is this> He never uses Scripture to make any of his points of assertion.

The trinity he referres to is not the Trinity Scripture teaches.

He makes the trinity into 3 human beings. (pg.99) (NOT BIBLICAL)

Papa is god the father but referred to as she. (HERESY)

Papa tells Mack that he is fully human. (pg.99 & 191) (NOT BIBLICAL)

Young denies hell & eternal punishment. (NOT BIBLICAL)

Thats not my opinion - THATS FACT!

  • @digger629 Hey everyone.

  • @bella50008 Get a hobby! not everything that concerns "God" and "Good" has to come from one book! I am an Atheist, but coming to some understanding of faith and quite entertained by this book. So please, take your extreme fundamentalism and cram it!

  • @bella50008 "The 700 Club missed it on this one. Completely." --- They sure did! They seem to do that a lot with book reviews. I haven't trusted their judgement since I found out they gave the Bible a thumbs up. What a load of rubbish that one was.

  • An absolutely wonderful book.... many times I wept while hearing the audio book... the presence of God and the annointing of the Holy Spirit are using it to change lives. Awesome !

  • Christians are the only people that kill and bury their own.

  • @mottsy47 ...you're kidding right. Or do you not listen to the news. BTW, the quote you were aiming for is "chrisitans are the only ones who kill their wounded". Sheesh.

  • Dear CBN: Usually any book on spirituality that Oprah endorses..you probably should be very suspicious of. Wow, CBN and Oprah on the same spiritual page. Scary.

  • @bella50008 Whats even scarier is christians so caught up in religious dogma that they can't have their paradigm challenged.... Jesus would call the religious paradigms " Old Wineskins" and they're no good for any thing but condemnation.

  • @josiahdocscurlock ... Hmmm. Really? What is even scarier still is so-called christians who will stand before God and give an account as to why they chose the doctrine of devils over the word of God. Oh, I forgot - you've given the answer to that already. What is it now...oh yeah, and I quote: "Jesus would call the religious paradigms "Old Wineskins" and they're 'no good' for anything but condemnation." That little exchange with God should go well for you.

  • @bella50008 So really bell, what is your problem with "the shack" ? I mean I could tear it down if I wanted too, i could go through and nit pick and say this and say that, but the " Spirit" of the book is of healing and love and forgiveness... and not being so judgmental, lol, maybe thats where its kicking you in the teeth.
