Generic parody of "anime" #343254354254524525334. Its been a trend in the past decade to for random American comedies to have "anime segments" in which characters show off their best impression of DBZ. It isn't funny anymore. It hasn't been for awhile. Especially to those who are anime fans and understand how off the mark it is. Same goes for LOLJAPAN, TENTACLERAEP, and related comments.
Not even talking about that shit, bro. I'm just tired of watching the same segment being rehashed in different American comedies. For the record, Community is a quality show. Also, please take your buttmadness back to /a/... then again judging by your Youtube page you actually have good taste... STAY.
@ultama121 and stop acting like ur so high and might for anime, with ur american ass. now go back to trying to speak japanese and thinking u know so much about their culture all cuz u watch anime
Ah, yes. Here we have it. The "WEEABOO" rebuttal. I wasn't acting "high and might." I was saying the scene was stupid because its been rehashed a million times and is no longer funny. Not that you care. Judging by the way your post is written you're probably a twelve year old getting mad that somebody didn't like something you did.
Pretty much every skit show in existence. Mad TV, SNL etc. Then there's plenty of adult cartoon shows like Futurama and Family Guy that have done this. On Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon there's been plenty of TV shows over the years that have parodied anime generally, though no specific ones come to mind. I can guarantee at some point the majority of them have had anime parodies. Though those have happened long ago when this joke was rehashed considerably less. Think 90s
I can see where you're coming from, but I think within the context of the scene it still works, because the animation isn't there just to be a throwaway parody, but to show the level of tension between them.
Yeah, I hear that. But for me it was just so generic in execution (hate to beat a dead horse, but it seemed to follow all of the main tropes) that it felt like every other anime parody regardless of context.
So why is this show so low in ratings? Is it because all the characters get to be cool with each other, instead digging into pointless bitching and drama? Idk I kind of like that the characters have a sense of decency and self respect.
I was watching this at work, on my headphones, I was so excited, I am in love with Dan Harmon for allowing things like this to get made, what will I do if they cancel this show?
Dear Leonard... where are your frozen pizza reviews that you posted?

@Arisainwonderland
I'm not really "taking it seriously" as much as I'm annoyed at the same scene being rehashed over and over again. I just don't find it funny anymore.

@ultama121 It's still funny to me and I am an anime fan. Don't take it so seriously.

@ultama121 It's because you are an anime fan, you are incapable of having a sense of humor.
