  • During the song Rammlied there is a clean section which uses drop C but the rest of the song is in drop D, so for live stuff, he just but on a thick string where the B would be and tuned it to C sooooooo its D A D G C E, used only for that song....however i think he no longer does that part of the song because when i saw it live i was searching for that string (thanks to this video ;D) but I think Paul does it now.

  • with that all buttons i better think twice before becoming a famous musician

  • thank you for upload. richards guitar is so awesome. i love it :)

  • @bassgs01 Ok, thank you!

  • I always wondered if they were really playing live, now I think they have too much things back there

  • @Waidmann74 That would be drop D tuning with the a heavy gauge E (0.52, I think) string tuned to C instead of the normal b (0.13) string, so the tuning is D-A-D-G-C-e. If you look closely at the guitar at 2:58 you can see That the second string(normally tuned to B) is thicker than all the other strings on that guitar.

  • @Waidmann74 maybe there is this EVH device on the floyd rose that allows you to go lower? I don't know

  • @Waidmann74 Its for the detune breakdown during Rammlied when Till starts with EIN WEG, EIN ZIEL, EIN MOTIV! part. From what I've observed, the main riff of the song is played in 2 keys, Richard plays in drop D and Paul plays in Drop C, but Richard needs the detune for that part before the final Chorus/outro.

  • @relarz Great explanation! Can you tell me something about Olivers tuning in Rammlied?

  • @Basstard22 if i knew anything about bass, my friend, haha.

  • @relarz Hahaha, it's okay. You can't know anything in the world. that's for damn sure!

  • @Deadlezz I guess those are modded Mesas, each with a different mode.

  • C-G-C-F-A-D

  • @Waidmann74 its not drop C, with that guitar it was tuned to drop D but the one string was changed to a thick string and tuned to C for the clean section in Rammlied.

But i think Paul takes that part now.

  • is it just me or does he seem more confused then half the people who are watching this?

  • @ShiningRedMoon Yes, thank you!

  • @Waidmann74 the Guitar is tuned to Drop D, with a Drop C so it goes D A D< drop D and then C G C< Drop C hope it helps

  • Did anyone understand anything ? LOL

  • @Waidmann74 Drop C?

  • @tcelectronic Nope.. its not Drop C.

  • @tcelectronic No its not, Drop C is Standard D with dropped C

  • @tcelectronic check better, that guitar has a "extra low C" string as second one.so the 2nd and 6th strings have same gauge.

  • 2:56 christoph testing his snare drum......if only someone has that video

  • what a waste of money! 8 amps are really to much. Some just need 1 or 2

  • @bigrock007

Their guitars a heavily tracked on albums, over 15 times or something like that. I doubt that 1 or 2 amps could recreate anything close to that.

Plus, they're one of the most popular german bands out there, I doubt money is a problem.

  • @themodernguitarist well you are right. But so many guys just need 1 or 2 amps like John 5. Slash had 6 on tour with Velvet Revolver and now he uses 2 Marshall heads.

I just can't understand why so much amps when it could be much simpler

  • @bigrock007

I guess its just because its the only way they could get Rammstein's trademark wall-of-Dual-Recto sound while playing live.

I heard Richard using the Rammfire plugin for a Native Electronics interview. Thats emulating probably 1 or 2 amps at once. Didn't sound like that powerful, crushing sound that RIchard and Paul are known for.

  • lol...wtf...richard has like 5 mesa rectis...i'd love to have even one...what do you need that many amps for anyways

  • @Deadlezz to be able to be heard over the drums bass guitar and keyboard and the loud crowd that's why he needs 5 or 6

  • @rammsteinvideos101 are you serious?...you know that all the amps are miced and his sound is running over a PA system. he even says in the video that the sound at stage isnt that loud. you can basically play a concert with a roland cube 30. it wont sound as good as a mesa, but it would work.

  • @Deadlezz yeah who knows but i do know he has 6 mesa speaker cabs hidden in the actual stage where flake is standing I'd imagine there cranked up loud alongside the pa.

  • @rammsteinvideos101 nobody turns stagevolume louder that necessary ... he sure uses his two mesa for his monitoring and two as backup as the guy in the video said. but you really dont need 6. one or two for sound and one backup is more than enough. since you can get a better sound with an Axe Fx for 1500 dollar.

the main reason that he has 6 is apparantly because he can. they only use clean, distorted and a bit reverb for stuff and he uses a rig that is heavily oversized for its usage.

  • @rammsteinvideos101 but i guess...if you dont have to pay for it or think about money...why not...

  • hahaha i think i saw this guy, when i saw rammstein live at big day out

  • @munchy040

    Yaaaaaawwwnnnn...

  • lol marshall .mg 10 xd

  • This guitar man looks like a rock and roll Jesus

  • what the f@ck all those dual rectos dayum gimme one

  • Wish they'd do this with Flake's gear too! He's probably got more crap behind stage than Flake and Paul put together! Actually, perhaps not know his way of doing things.

  • i so badly want the burnt finished rzk 1 it looks awsome

  • @rammsteinvideos101 yea, i would kill for one, freaking badass

  • @leetbarker the price is a bitch it's about $3500 at my guitar shop.

  • @rammsteinvideos101 damn, highest price ive seen was $2999, shit i wish we could all be rich :( lol

  • @rammsteinvideos101

$3500 for an ESP? Because it's an RZK they think it's worth $3500? They must be out of their fuckin' minds. It's an awesome "looking guitar...but not worth anything even near $3500. The construction is cheap.

In what world has an ESP ever been worth over $1500?...much less $3500? Anyone who would pay that price for THAT guitar is a fuckin' dipshit.

You spend $3500 on a guitar that will grow in value...such as a PRS. An ESP isn't worth shit 5 years after you buy it.

  • @WarmothGuitarist The ESP ORIGINAL series is worth alot more than your highest end Ltd and Esp current lines, infact they can almost reach 4000-5000 i have seen, all due to the age of it, i mean you see fender shitbox's that have been destroyed but still have playability go for stupider amounts of money.

The fact that this is 3500 is the custom work on it as well.

No matter what custom work is on it. its still classified as 'custom'

  • that tuning rig with the external pickup on a gooseneck is a good idea.
