Romeo takes up too much space (no i dont mean his weight...). Here we have 4 amazing musicians and you only here his fucking guitar LOUD and ALL THE TIME. Listening to their early albums where there were a balance with all instruments audible, and the compositions had elements of all instruments in them, that was true progressive rock. This is too much of a solo show off.

i consider slash to be more of an icon, but he has always been incredible in his own kind of way. he may not be very technical, but with the soul and funk he has, i guess you can consider him a guitar god. a guitar king at the least.

Tony Iommi is a guitar god though. he may not be the most technical, but he single-handedly created an entire genre (which branched into more subgenres than you can shake a stick at. including Symphony X's genre of symphonic power metal, or in this song's case, jus power metal), his incredible, catchy, memorable riffs are unmatched even to this day. Iommi inspired me to pick up a guitar in the first place

tony lommi didn't single-handedly create an entire genre. ozzy osbourne also helped. not only that judas priest gave heavy metal that hardcore warrior feeling, and iron maiden invented the melodic metal type of sound. tony lommi was a big pioneer, but he wasn't even close to making an entire genre by himself.

ok..let me get this straight.. Ozzy did NOTHING for the world of metal. All he did was sing the songs. Tony wrote ALL the music/riffs and Geezer wrote ALL the lyrics. Priest didn't launch til late 70's sabbath released their first album in 1970 and wrote it in 69. iron maiden invented no such thing. they started kinda punky and didn't get truely metal to Bruce joined, during the 80's. everyone has their opinion but you can't argue with fact.

i suppose your right with ozzy, but youre not right with priest or maiden. judas priest gave metal something black sabbath didnt have, and that was a warrior type of feeling to metal. they were a pioneer in that sort. not only that they formed in 1969 the same year sabbath did, but their piece of shit producers delayed them, so they didn't make their first album until 1975. finally iron maiden DID invent the melodic metal sound. that sound played an important role in power metal, and other genre
