In Sweden there is a law against clipping your pet birds wings. It falls under animal cruelty. I doubt that this law would be there if no harm comes to the birds.
Thanks for the video! I have a couple of questions though. How do you know whether the feathers are new feathers (and so therefore should not be clipped)? Also, should the bird be clipped by an avian vet the first time they are clipped? Thanks.
Really looks like an excellent way to go about this. I don't have a problem with the little sun conure or our little cockatoo, but I'm nervous about the greys. This helped a lot! Thanks!
Mollywood is fantastic. You won't find anyone more skilled than Betsy, the non-feathered star of the video. :) My guys will hold out their wings for trimming (no towel required) but the towel, if scared, is perfect for this. Excellent handling. Bravo!
I think I saw u hit the bird

ive learned from the internet how to clip their wings, but my parakeet wont let me handle him in order to cut his wings. He wont let me grab him...

it's better having their wings trimmed,
if they fly throug the room they can hurt themself very bad
clipping doesn't hurt at al
