hi i was wondering if u could do a tutorial on how to make it as theres just not enough words 2 exspain how to do this project well not 4 me anyways lol it would be well appriciated.cheers
anyone know where i can get additional sequences for this? i built the cube but i only have the samples. or perhaps someone can direct me to the software to program my own sequences, that would be cool
Lavoro molto interessante, complimenti.Io dovrei realizzare un'animazione più semplice, bidimensionale. Non è che mi puoi dare qualche consiglio? Andrea
@S00rabh its very easy if you use shift register, like author of this video did. google it: shift register 595 or "arduino more outputs shift register"
@S00rabh it uses persistence of vision, human eye have a well known "refresh" rate frequency f=1/T (T lapse), so during the lapse time you can switch on or off leds as you wish and your eyes will see them lighten up togheter.
i think this is the right answer to your question.

I made a 4x4x4 led cube with PIC 877a, i must say wiring those led's is a pain in the ass XD

Please explain..

@S00rabh it's multiplexing. You power an entire deck, but only ground one pillar. Then only one LED will get a complete circuit and light up.

@b9robot01 I've used VB6 for developing it.. Maybe in VB2008 there aren't some libraries..

whats the reason for using 9 microprocessors? and what are the transistors running to? this is a field i know very little in but i want to learn.
stevonr 2 years ago
They're not microprocessors, they're shift registers. Its very difficult to explain in 500 characters, so just google.
