No doubt. You seem like a nice fellow with a good heart. Yes we use our ICS chainsaw for the right job, predominately plunge cuts. We use the softest chain so the life isn't great and it doesn't like steel and requires lots of water. And its hard work. Advise from a crackpot: Make a track mounted version (not the speedhook) like the Zhorro or the DP/Hydrostress. Let the machine do the work; let the machine get covered in slurry.
Hey Grady. Thanks for the response. Been up that ladder, been down that road. Its still an oleo mac. Your new bars are wider? more surface pressure? They are a niche product and they don't replace a circular saw. If that misnomer is accepted by the majority then we will be great friends.
@PX125E No doubt a circ saw has its strengths. Wouldn't say an ICS saw would replace a circular saw completely just as a circ saw can't compete with a straight bar saw in other applications. Right tool for the right job and all that. Plunge cuts anyone? Cheers, GB
@PX125E No joy with your ICS saws? You really should try the new models; and/or contact ICS-- go straight up the ladder. They'll take care of you. (Oh, and your previous comment that didnt get posted was MUCH funnier.) Cheers, GB
