Ur right, Matam is an act of devotion for us in solidaroty with Aale Nabi (PBUT), As far as some of us consider it to be Salat thats absolutey incorrect and fabrication on your end. I have never/ever heard anyone compareing Matam to Salat accept from you. Thats ridiclous. Now we donot do matam to impress Sunnis or Nonmuslims, Christians nail themselves to cross do they do it for us or for devotions or solidatory with their God?

Am, I'm not an expert, but I like this a lot better than than the old Saddam regime. Ahm, this gives us something to talk about, and it just seems more properly organised than the old regime, because you're not focused on the same person all the time. This is more focused upon the community.
