@LAsfinest96 I didn't hacked anything, the star looking like firework exists since the NES version of super mario 3, you need to get three star cards one after another, that means play three scenes and on each one get a star card, only when you get the third one you will see the big star like if it was fireworks

Like Chriskat911 just said I didn't hacked anything, during the times the GBA was the latest handheld system of Nintendo, they releases the E-Reader accesory only in Japan and America and if you used this accesory with the compatible games you could add new things to them like levels, power ups, etc. depending on the game.

This e-reader cards for this game included new items like the 3UP moons and even the feather cape from Super Mario World too ^^

no, is not a hack, is the game Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros 3 game for Gameboy Advance.

That game for Japan and USA was compatible with the E-Reader accesory that added new elements to the game like new levels, items and also the vegetables of Super Mario Bros 2

Other items you can add is turn the 1UP Mushrooms into 3UP Moons, or that when you kill an enemy that is vulnerable to Fire Mario it gets turned into coins.

Yeah on the GBA version they added it a feature to add extra things with the e-reader cards including the vegetables, 3up moons, the Mario World cape, turn the enemies into coin after hit him with a fire ball when being fire Mario, etc.

Yeah but with the E-Reader that added new features to the game and you even can enable them on the normal worlds too like change the 1up Mushroom to 3up Moons from Super Mario World, add the vegetables, turn the enemies into coins when you attack them with the fire flower obviously only the ones that are affected by the fire flower, and several other things.

This game is compatible with the e-reader accesory, there are some sets of cards for this game which enables new levels never seen before in this game as well new items and abilities such as the vegetables you saw and even the Mario World Cape and the 3up moon for say some examples

playing a lot, and with that bonus scene where you have to line up the three lines to form a figure, remember that on the GBA version when you pass that bonus scene you can go in it again since the figure on the map changes for another of the figures of the poker cards: spades, diamond, heart and clover the last figure I think it is the heart has one figure to line up so you always get the 10 lives of bonus.

did you play this on the gameboy itself or you have an emulator? You see I tried using Visual Gameboy Advance with an emulator and it always says the save data is corrupted. If you're using in a PC. do you know an emulator that works? Thanks

it works with Visualboy Advance too, but you need to set the save type as Flash and 128 for it to work.

you need to go to the folder the .sav files are saved by the emulator (.sav are the files that equal to the battery of the games to save the advance) and deleted the .sav file which has the same name of the Mario Advance 4 game but with the extension .sav, when you do this in the emulator set the save type like I told you (type is flash and size is 128) and load the game again this time it should work

yeah it does, it works much like the Super Mario All Stars saving way, I mean press start to pause the game and get the continue, save and continue and save and quit options

if you mean action replay as in that cheating device then no, is just that I have been playing it sing a long while and kept playing the same file and since it saves the lives, coins and points you don't start from zero when you turn on the game at a later time ^_^
