  • clough wouldnt last 2 minutes these days. he was a complete and utter knob. big mouth, big head and no brain. all he could do was take bungs and get pissed. best thing he did was take forest down!

  • @in2u2b You say that this man has no brain, yet this is a guy who when he first took over 2 teams who were in absoulate dire straits,at the wrong end of what is now the championship, took both teams to the league title, plus went even better with Forest and won 2 European cups, anyone who does what he did at Derby and Forest needs to have some brains and be bright as a button.

  • how was this alchoholic back stabbing arsehole a good man !!! he does nothing but bring people down has a huge opinion of himself but when it comes to it hes a coward! the interview with don revie proves that. All he ever did was spite don but when it came to it he shyed away like he always did !

  • I understand that he was a special manager but his homophobia makes it hard for me to respect him.

  • Good to see a young Darren Fletcher>

  • This is bloody brilliant.

  • absolute legend and everything he says is true

  • What a legend ! The funniest ever was when he was interviewed about Man Utd snibbing the FA cup to go to Brazil to play the club championship out there, cloughie's response ? " I hope they all get diarrhoea" LOL LOL

  • the guy on 2.30 and 4.30 in the audience is Darren Fletcher. Occasional bbc 5live and former Century 106 (East Midlands) commentator alongside Garry Birtles.

  • Lol the part when he said he'd cut Cantona's balls off xD Cloughie is a legend weather younlike it or not :)

  • 3:07 that guy reminds me of someone from the bbc, dont know who and tbh hes from the bbc soo dont care

  • he will watch it tomoro, he is still scared of brian and sugar cant handle him

  • Fantastic - Brian had (Lord) Wanker Sugar sorted way before the rest of us. Smart Brian.

  • If he stayed at derby he would have been even better and probibly still be alive today

  • The fact there was a drink problem late in his career does not shadow the FACT he was the greatest manager ever.

  • Saint tries to hold Brian back from saying things, Greavsie eggs him on! classic

  • Clough. I love thee.

  • Greaves must be thanking the stars above he was able to control the booze! Clough is a shadow of the man who lead Derby and Forest to so many trophies.

  • legend cloughy . but why wud u sign that queer sheringham for!

  • Pisshead you have to love him

  • and the jaguar.. so funny

  • Oi!! Alan! yer fired!!!

  • @shepshepshep yeah for being a spiv!

  • he didn't give a shite, and neither did his team Nottingham Forest.

That was why they won the European twice

  • Poor Clough. A rambling, shambolic husk of a man. This is car crash television. No decent producer would have allowed him to appear. Very sad.

  • uploaded on my b-day lol love brain

  • He is so tanked. Suppose that was the price to pay for the genius and best footballing brain ever made on Gods green earth.

  • this is fucking excellent , the man is a god , the best manager england never had

  • Legend. Where are his like now?

  • @ludocrat managing real madrid???

  • @tonyjiz

    lol. Not quite. Nearly though.

  • who the fuck is the german who people are saying lol klinsmann of course. sugar treat him like a twat, god i hate sugar. cloughy ought to sort that spivv out. go on cloughy shout it out!

  • fashanu was absolute gash

  • go on cloughy son, stick it up sugar

  • brian, brian, brian the boro boy!!brian , brian, brian the boro boy!!

  • Football needs managers like Brian Clough R.I.P

  • L E G E N D !!!!

  • lol..what can you say but genius!

  • All this fuckin 'Sir Alan' shit, Apprentice bollocks on the BBC - its a load of bloody shit. He acts like a hard man on his TV show when he's in fact a gob-shite.

  • @intheTea04 who says ey soft boy

  • @weatherallc05 - I have not got a bloody clue why I posted that, in reference to this video. What was I thinking, lol?

  • @intheTea04 no bother son

  • @intheTea04 just listen to cloughy, you will be alrite. im not the strongest you know, but i could talk my way int helping others lmao

  • Legend.

  • @warpfield - at 5.10 cloughie says....i feel responsible for justin fashanu....who played for forest in the early 80s and was the 1st black player to be bought for a million quid. He was gay and thus cloughie later say...it took me 3 months to twig him...

  • If anyone would like to get their story of when they met Cloughie in a new book, please get in touch and drop me a line

  • Ah Brian would have loved Cantona

  • Can you imagine Clough coaching in America? He'd have made the game 100 times bigger than Pele ever could have.

  • 5:10, what the hell did he say?

  • @warpfield98 i feel responsable for justin fashanu

  • Great post. Reading Stuart Pearce's autobiography he mentioned Cloughie ordered the team bus driver on way back from a match to divert passed airport so they could say 'hello airport see you on wednesday' as they had a euro fixture.

  • 1 Of a Kind...

    Just like Ali...'The Greatest'

  • I loved Cloughie.

Saw his Derby team win 1/0 at The Old Den,Millwall on their way to the 2nd Division Championship in 1969 and that was not easy back then.

The rest at Derby/Forest is Pure Gold as was his character and personality.

However this is a reason why guys should watch their drink as he is only at 40% here and not as lucid or penetrating as usual and its the lifelong effects of the booze that is responsible.

STILL great value though but could have lasted a lot longer..

  • and these day's Alan Sugar advises new labour.............

  • The journalist in the crowd who asks a couple of questions is Darren Fletcher - now a commentator for the BBC's Match of the Day. Let's hope he still wears that jacket.

  • God how I miss Cloughie ... Todays so called `pundits' are over paid and far too pc to make any sense. And as for Andy Townsend, what a tosser ... Clough = legend.

  • @MrHurley61

Its hard to believe why ITV employ Townsend. Like Gary Neville is now, he was a known prick within the game during his playing days and now that hes a pundit everyone I know says what a boring idiot he is.

  • Andy Townsend. Very ordinary player who thinks a lot of himself. And clearly the guvenors at ITV see him as their new Golden Balls. Saw a hole when Big Ron made his regrettable comments and jumped in feet first. Thinks we are really interested in his journalistic investigatory banal comments.

Listening to him butting in to get his point across makes my sh*t itch. The bloke is a cock.

Takes himself far too seriously and needs to be removed from the public gaze immediately.

    Twat.

  • @MrHurley61 townsend knows fuck all about football. itv employ shit pundits who have no true experience. bbc put in some legends

  • Thanks for that interesting piece of info. Actually I like Fletcher now. I think he sits alongside Alan Green & John Murray in terms of the best 5live commentators.

  • Even pissed as a fart, Cloughie is sharper than some pundits (I'm talking about you Le Saux). Greavsie must have felt bad seeing Cloughie like this given he'd succesfully fought his own battle with the booze

  • georgeASFTHM if you have the whole of this please post it. class he (cloughie) was pure gold we need more like him to keep this game REAL!

  • a kind edit there. cloughie was kippered on this show and made an arse of himself. but he was quality and will live long in the memory. RIP cloughie

  • True legend, the real special one

  • what a man, they say when forest were playing bad he used to walk over and watch notts county play, that says it all

  • I have this episode on tape from its original transmission. Cloughie was the star of the show here.

  • Clough is slaughtered...

  • His comments in regards to JF are cruel, but to be expected. After all, Clough was a man of his generation, andi certainly don't hold it against him, he was a true legend, and a proper character. Fash' was a tragic case though, and BC was very, very unsupportive to him at Notts Forest, essentially because he was gay. No wonder they're still no openly gay players in the English League, although lets face it, we all know they exist. A fair share will be premiership footballers as well...

  • John o'shea for one

  • Ha, O'Shea. Never really thought about big John as a possible closet case but you never know i guess. I suspect they're a great many players who are but its who will ever be brave enough to come out and take the stick they would surely get.

  • He wasn't really that cruel about JF, it does sound bad now obviously b'coz JF has passed away, but he was alive at the time of this show. Do feel sorry for JF tho.

  • My point was that Clough was a man of his era, and would have viewed someone in his team he knew to be gay with real suspicion, which is evident from this interview. I don't blame him at all, he was just exhibiting behaviour very common for a man of his generation. I do find it sad that there have been since JF no openly gay footballers. I would imagine the sports journo's have a good idea who is, but the clubs would shut out any paper that broke a story regarding one of there players.

  • In his autobio, Clough wrote a chapter expressing remorse at how he treated JF, and how he even called the police to the training ground one day because he thought JF may have been to a gay club...point is...he did a total mea culpa and completely owned the blame...

  • @steve62482 clough was brought up in the boro. he put in the hard work alrite, and did it for pennies. that didnt mean shit to him. he just lived football and is a pure socialist. his generation involves hard workers who dont talk shit behind backs. clough comes out with the truth and only the truth. why lie? well ask sir alex that? did cloughy get knighted ?yeahhh. he deserves more than a knighthood

  • Absolute quality this is

  • Quality. God bless you Brian.

  • Mr Sugar.......you're 'FIRED'!!!! lmao

  • Skinner and Baddiel did a great spoof of this on Fantasy Football, wish it was on youtube.

  • Best british manager ever to win league championship with derby and forest. fergie could not do that with out the cheque book

  • @reni1873 fergie also would not get any past european cup winning team relegated from the top flight division.

  • He wudve in those days i reckon.

  • in the 90s?? i very much doubt that and he kind of proved that lol

  • @reni1873 clough woldnt care if he got payed pennies or millions. he lives football for free

  • he werew fked we out taylor tho fergies prob a better manager

  • seriously how can you compare fergie to clough.. fergies just a chip on cloughs shoulder.

  • Wonder how many "halves" Greavsie and Cloughie had before this broadcast? Seriously though,Brian Clough really was one of a kind,a kind we REALLY will never see again in English Football. I bet that's been said on this comment page a million times...I think that's probably about right...

  • clough had balls the size of demolition balls. R.I.P.

  • Yeah, and Clough could bang in a goal or two in his playing days as well. I would've liked to have seen Clough & Greavsie play together more for England back in the '60s.

  • yi i know hes a legend.

  • Clough = Honest or as Honest as you will ever get on TV, The only other bloke i know is Bob Dylan & that says it all!

  • @rufusandburne cloughy says it how it is, even if it gets him in trouble. he just shows that the truth is the best solution, always!! and the truth is funny as fuck, lying is not funny

  • Best manager the world has ever seen and Forest fans will never forget him.

    RIP

  • clogh is a legend.

  • yeah. fuck sugar.

  • cloughie was a gem and one of a kind......

  • Saint and Greavsie. Always great to watch. Add in Cloughie and you've got the ultimate winning team.

  • Sugar is a cunt and his show sucks

  • What a legend...

    RIP

  • Just because we do "Sport in Question".

  • Even though its funny to see him put down everyone, its so sad as he is clearly under the influence.

    RIP Footballs's greatest genius

  • Clough does not put down Everyone as you put it! (marknpeyton). Ok if he as had beer thats what blokes do...drrrrrr

  • I think Cloughie would have been better on Alan Sugars show The Apprentice he would a fired all the canidates he would !

  • @stuttsy83 he wold have fired sugar. he dont take shit from that spivv
