On the OJJ the fence transverses the the blade left and right for a distance of 49 1/2in. twice as much as these portable saws all with the fence stationary, a stationary will never deviate from parallel, that's what is required on a table saw
The Original Jimmy Jig had the stationary fence technology for over 30 years ( invented by the Generous Aberdonian to handle large sheet material to 4ft.on centre) which is always square and parallel to any cutting tool blade or tool inserted in the innovative aperture of the OJJ.
The router slides inside the aperture to allow edge jointing to 3.5 ft. wide and other router operations, If a fence is stationary it canna' deviate from square or parallel
The OJJ also significantly reduces table saw injuries and can retro-fit existing table saws, all anti-kick back safety devices are placed up-front of the blade on a stationary fence, will automatically adjust to differences in material height and width, will handle sheet material to 4ft on centre see seumas2 on youtube
The older table saw technology in use today can be made much safety to operate and compete with Sawstop ( to date Sawstop cannot retro-fit older table saws) with a retro-fit by macduff of the Original Jimmy Jig, The OJJ has a stationary fixed fence to a sliding support platform which transverses the blade, left and right for a distance of 49 1/2ins. with all automatic safety devices placed up-front and overhead, supported from a bracket on a rod attached to the rock solid stationary fence.
