@scotty2707 You do relise the original X-men was one of Marvels least sucsesful comics and got quikly canceld. The relaunch in the 70's that made X-men a hit not the origional X-men. and yes I know you mean the 90's X-men cartoon but even as far as animation goes there were a few X-men cartoons before that. You should watch Evolution it starts off mediocre but realy improves in the second season and keeps geting better as it goe on. By the end it was almost as good as the 90's X-men

I loved this ending. It brought hope and fear at the same time. Something that the future will always bring. But they conveyded it so that they would face what ever came theyr way with confidence. Not all stories have to be told, some can be left as a hint (magneto becoming part of the x-men (maby? when the eff does that happen? XD Always have hoped that it would but still...) dark phoenix etc.) and to our own imaginations, and hopes. Thats when we get the ending we want them to have.

@narmolania In an alternative timeline, Xavier's son who is called Legion goes through time to kill Magneto but Xavier still being friends with Magneto takes the psi-knife that was meant to kill Magneto and dies. Seeing his friend take a killing blow for him, Magneto vow's to carry on Xavier's dream in his stead. This is called the Age of Apocalypse timeline.

I love this series, and I don't think they could've ended it any better. After all that build-up, the epic scale of that last show-down, everyone coming together, I don't think they could top that. It seems like a very natural conclusion. This series was a refreshing take on some great characters. It stood on its own, but could also tip its hat to the paths its characters took in other incarnations (meaning the original TV series, the movies, and some of what I've heard about the comics.)

@phoenixlatina Eh, if I'm not mistaken they were going to take the whole phoenix thing as the ultimate manifestation of Jean's powers, similar to what they did in the movies. And we all know how THAT turned out. They really shouldn't mess with one of the more popular sagas in such a significant way. I understand the movie doesn't have the time to properly tell the Phoenix saga, but this show did. So, probably better they didn't get a season 5. I think it's for the better the way it is now.

@phoenixlatina According to most sources, Season 5 would have focused on jean's loss of control over her powers and the manifestation of the Phoenix.

As for what happens to Rogue, we already know. At some point in the not too distant future she gets into a fight with Ms Marvel, where Ms Marvel, being a proud fighter, refuses to let go of Rogue, despite the pain Rogue caused her, which results in the permanent conversion of Ms Marvel's powers to Rogue.

@Psychology Nah, Boom Boom's more of an independent character at the end of this series. She's no longer with the Brotherhood, but she didn't rejoin the X-men either. The only reason she's there is because she did help defeat Apocalypse. You can tell, because she's clearly not wearing an X-men uniform, but her own get up.

As much as I liked this series, this final scene bothered me.

It was as if the show was saying:

"You see all these great story ideas from the comics? Well TOO BAD! We're not showing them!"

I suppose you could argue that this makes it sort of a prequel-of-sorts to the classic show from the 90' which did have those plot elements, but still, it was rather bitter.

So she became a social outcast and joined the brotherhood. True, she does grow out of this as she learns what it means to be really accepted, but dude. She was an emo... @victor7791 This was one of those Marvel Studios cartoons that actually got finished. Spider-Man from 90's got canceled after season 5 was aired. There was supposed to be season 6 but Marvel decided not to go on with it anymore.

Spider-Man Unlimited is a perfect example of shows not getting finished. If I remember right, it got canceled before season 1 was even finished. It was okay show, but got overshadowed by Pokemon.

@MasterofReality1994 It really all depends on what continuity you're following. Every show has a spin of their own. Their own personal touch, if you will. So, while in this particular continuity, Kitty and Lance might end up together, they might not in another. If you want the offcial story (as far as those exist), then things change again. Too many cartoons and comics changed things. So you kinda need to figure it out for yourself. Or wait for sequels :p
