When E Loved he LOVED with his heart and soul. I believe he Loved Cilla very much But she didn't know how to be a southern wife. I know what a southern wife is and he expected her to never ever be untrue to him. He was devestated by his mothers death and then he had to contend with Dee and Vernon and then M Stone. She was very young and easily led by good looking men. By then she knew and so did m Stone that she would get a sizeable amount of money and he also knew that E would Not touch her.SAD

She didn't expect him to die as he did and then she realized how much she missed him and loved him. That is why she has done so much for Graceland and I don't think it's just for the money.

There will never be anyone tht can compare to the voice of this ANGEL. I listened as his voice matured from young man of 18 or 19 to the sge of 42 when he left us for a much better position.Loved him then and still do. For some reason the balleds ELVIS did always came from his soul and his life. as to the way his life was going at the time. GOD BLESS THE Child and the grandchildren of ELVIS. I will forever LOVE this man and I will forever LOVE MY HUSBAND but I have lost both thank GOD I have ELVIS in his music and the wonderful videos you guys put on here for people like me 3who don't know how to do it I neglected to THANK YOU for doing this there were many parts where you could see how sick he really w3as yet he kept going, WHY because that is what he LOVED TO DO. I never realized this song was so full of the emotions I am feeling right now I will never ever fall in love again it just HURTS TOO DAMM BAD. I Loved my JIM for all these years just to have him go in a split second from my life forever, I am talking about DEATH HERE,As many of you know my husband died suddenly on our Anniversary August 25 three months ago on Tuesday of this week. This song jerks my heart out as I have only Loved two men in my entire life, Pray for us me and Chelsea. Hugs bobbie

This song makes me think about a my ex wife, and I have wondered over and over that maybe I didn't sometimes treat her as good as I could have. Heavens to Murgatroid! Until I came here to youtube I never knew the late great Mr Presley had recorded his own version of this classic tune. A very moving rendition...Elvis & Tom Jones did a wonderful job of covering each other's songs. The two singers have a lot in common. THANK YOU very much for posting this utterly delightful & enjoyable "blast from the past"! :)

As Many times as I have listened to this song and its been many many times I believe I have to say this song he has always sang with such deep conviction and power its as though he is sayin don't even go there been burned once shame of you burn me twice shame on me. @ale17320 no different now or then , i'll nerver forget when i was 9 or 10 my mother was crying in a rocking chair pregnent, with one of my younger sisters and elvis was on the radio singing in the getto, and i didn't know it then ,but i asked her why she was crying ,and she didn't say anything, now i know, im 3rd of 8 means alot to me.

Brought me to tears also, as you say so much emotion, makes you feel so bad for him !! Its as if he were singing about himself and you think he has only one love........he could have anyone he wanted and he may have strayed but I feel Priscilla was the one and only he ever wanted !!!!

@gdmay1942 I agree totally. I think Priscilla was his true love. I believe that she left him because of his lifestlyle but she truly loved him. She didn't expect him to die as he did and then she realized how much she missed him and loved him. That is why she has done so much for Graceland and I don't think it's just for the money.

Thanks Jackie61too. I had forgotten just how much I LOVE this song, and how powerful and touching Elvis's voice was here. 3:26 is just the most beautiful flow of notes that always puts a lump in my throat.

Its disgusting to know that Priscilla has anything to do with any thing regarding ELVIS. After what she did to him how can Lisa forgive her for MIKE STONE and for what Priscilla did to ELVIS. Its so hard to listen to such a heartwrenching song knowing he did this because he felt every word in his heart. Thanks Jackie for a great song. Hugs Bobbie

Elvis and Tom Jones were great friends and respected each others music. But I love Elvis not only for his beautiful voice. But for the sweet man that Elvis is. Elvis has a heart of compassion and gold. I love Elvis.
