yeah i remember this whole movie seen it like 5 times in 1984...everyweekend it stayed at theater..ohhh gosh dam that has been awhileeee ago...i am getting old..ughhhhh
When I was 8, I took a picture of the tv screen when the ghost was reading the book and sent it to my mom to say it was in our basement.. When she got it, (In work), she got scared and showed it to some of her friends to creep them out too. Lol.
Looking forward for the re release in the Cinema for Halloween of this movie. I saw it the first time round in the 80's and it was outstanding on the big screen.
O.k. First, I love this scene. Too sweet. And secondly, how can someone like Peter be a parapsychologist? He's the type that wouldn't believe in this stuff. Very ironic.
This is the the one scene that had the most frigtening impact on me of my entire life. I was 7 when I saw this, and had never seen a scary movie before. I had nightmares for weeks. No movie has ever scared me like this since. I chuckle at those memories now :)
loooooooooooolz!!! It must have been ages since the last time i saw this scene :D however it still looked funny to me when i was a kid ... hahahahaha!!!!!
@TheSoulSearcher1 Very simple, it's basic addiction. Not very different than smoking or drinking , because all of these addictions lead to car accidents. But texting is far worse than any drug, because it is acceptable and frowned upon is you choose to "just say no" to it and it is given to children without any guidelines or addiction warnings. Also too many people are afraid to give it up for fear of loss of a false sense of connectedness but meanwhile it will not allow your mind to rest.
I would love to do what Bill Murry does to the calculator to every person I see here in New York texting too much , you know the kind of people that walk into busy streets while texting and seem to block out he whole world because they are so wrapped up in insignificant messages. Anyone else like the idea ?
@Trea2030 - Apparently, the ghost they originally wanted to use in the library scene was 10x scarier than this, but the studio ordered them to tone it down... I think I was terrified enough as it was by THIS ghost!
lmao, i remember the first time i saw this clip. it FREAKED me OUT. i had the volume up and i was wearing headphones, i jumped back, and i couldn't figure out how to make it shut up. i have no idea why i flipped out.
Me: Egon and Ray have nothing to say...?! That's... a really bad signal...
The way that Peter knocks Egon's calculator (Or W/E it was) reveals he was extremely tense. I was really expecting the scene where they run away from the library, with the Piano background music.
Still one of the greatest family movies ever made. Loved G2 tbh.
