Even though Superman could've scored with Lana Lang, he got laid a short time later in the movie by Ross Webster's girl, that floozy Lorelai (Pam Stephenson) who was even hotter than Lana. LOL!
The thing I don't get. This whole movie more or less takes place in Smallville...and not once does he visit Ma Kent! Did he even tell her he was in town? lol.
At the beginning of Superman 4 you get the impression that she had just passed away, so I'm pretty sure she should still be alive in this.
@junbecks Don't forget that kryptonite makes him weak as a baby. If he raped somebody they'd find a way to expose him to it. Then arrest him. Of course, they have to get close enough to him to make it work. But Superman always gets fooled someway or another by tricksters with kryptonite.
Interesting contrast between the two women in Superman's life. Lois couldn't stand Clark but was madly in love with Superman, while Lana genuinely liked Clark and as we can see from this scene here, wasn't too enamored of Superman.
Smallville no offense to the show but i taught Superman(clark) cant touch lana cause of the kryptonite suite she wearing, Smallville completely messed up Superman history
That was Smallville, no other version of Superman has ever had Clark been unable to touch Lana because she was walking Kryptonite. Smallville is a retelling of Superman that has very little to do with the other versions of Superman. Including the comics which I don't think will be using the superhero/walling Kryptonite Lana anytime soon.
Well Superman history or lore is never written in stone. Its always being changed and updated, many times to fit the era which the stories are being told. Originally Superman didn't even fly, he just leaped tall buildings in a single bound. But as time goes on there are those elements that just become part of the traditional Superman or any superhero formula.
And when a superhero is a well known one its hard to see those elements change. Sometimes the change is well done and accepted. The Spider Man movies are good examples of this, namely how his web slinging became a mutation rather him needing a mechanical web slinger. Smallville is more or less a bad example of it. If anything it shows how making to many changes to traditional superhero formulas can go horribly wrong.
Hmmm, I wonder what that compound could have supposed to have been? Green...high percentage of tar...hallucinogenic...makes Superman want to get busy? Hmmm.... Lol
its so wierd seeing annette in this film i remember seeing this as a kid and thinking damn, and then she poped up in smallville as martha kent n i was like....what the hell?
Although I found this movie to be an affront to the first 2 back when it aired, I now find it kind of endearing. Perhaps because Chris Reeve is gone and I really grew to respect him during his trials.
I thought he did a fine job here, and Annette did well with the portrayal of sudden nervousness.
I had the book, and in the book, she was freaked out by the fact that he could break her if he wanted to (or something to that affect)
Oh jeez, this scene is just REALLY excellently done.
And Chris as a bad superman, especially here, blows my mind.
His look at 0:53 and when she sits down with him on the couch. Goodness, I get freaked out and so warm at the same time XD

I always find it amazing how Reeves delivered these subtle performances. You can really seem him confused as to why he's doing something wrong here.
