Like I said before I've never noticed it when I run specialist, which is on almost all of my classes.

If you use overkill and run for an example striker as your second primary, will you get the proficiencies for that weapon when you get the specialist bonus? thumbs up so they´ll see!

@TwintipRidaah You get everything but not damage. So you should start with damage because then you get range and the other proficincies. If you start with range you will not get damage, but if you start with damage you will get range.

The melee recovery is explained by gaining steady aim pro, which allows you to recover from melees quicker. I have never used the melee proficiency on my class so idk if that increases even more but showing that you gained rapid fire or impact would be a much easier way to prove that specialist actually does that. Ive just never noticed gaining that when I reach my specialist.

@edove24 I think you might be talking about the Steady Aim Pro perk from Black Ops. That one had the faster melee recovery. MW3 just has faster aim from sprint.

Wow, this was known a month ago and you still got it wrong. when you get all specialist, you get all weapon proficiencys except for breath, attachments, and damage, regardless of gun class. Did he not notice he had speed proficiency for his mp7 and his magnum. Thumbs up so people know.

@TheDruxlol Yeah. The Call of Duty wiki clearly states that you earn every proficiency besides 2 Attachments, Breath, and Damage. I know for a fact that you earn Speed even if you cannot normally equip it on that class (so you can get speed on an AR or SMG), and I know that you get Range on SMGs and shotguns, but I don't know whether you get Range on LMGs and ARs.

you also gain the proficiencies for any other weapons you pick up, not just the ones in your class! i picked up a riot shield with the specialist bonus active (i was using a p90) and i had the melee proficiency for it.
