but the gt500 has the same brakes and suspension of a v6 mustang. and thats not gonna help around the corners. horsepower isnt everything. a Lotus exige can beat a mustang gt and gt500 with half the cylinders and a 1/4 of the horsepower. why. the suspension and brakes. thats why the boss 302 is a far better performer than the gt500. brakes, suspension. aerodynamics, etc. if you want a camaro and mustang for going in a straight line, get the SS and GT500. better laps times. the ZL1 and Boss 302

I happen to work for ford so I'm sure I know what I'm talking about. Second off lets compare the size and weight of the lotus to a gt500. Why do you think the shelby cobra back in the 60's ruled over the other cars? Simple power to weight ratio. The car didn't weigh nothing. The ZL1 and 302 are great track performers but so are the ss and gt500

They have reviews indepth detail to certain new parts and how they work. I've learned that alot of the shit here on youtube is wrong. Yea I can't wait for the new GT500. I'd go test drive both the ZL1 and the new 302 before making a purchase. If it was me I'd aim more for the boss 302 than the base gt.
@dbwrestler17 the boss was built and designed for one reason. That reason was to be a corner carver and have enough power and speed to put down great lap times. The 500 was built for power and speed and it handles quite well at the track as well. You need to do some more research bud if you honest to god think that the gt500 is the same as a V6 Mustang. Oh btw not everyone can fit into a Lotus. You've got to be flexible to get in and long enough legs to reach the pedals and steering wheel.

They actually said that the Boss was the car that felt a generation behind, while the ZL1 was a look at the future. Sure, Ford is promising the 2013 Shelby GT will have over 600 hp, but until it's on a track, it's only good on paper.

I own a regular boss302 and its the exact same thing besides the back seat delete, adjustable spliter and and wider tires... If the boss was supercharged and had wider tires which im going to do on mine, it would be a different out come..

The comparisons should go gt vs ss, zl1 vs gt500, boss vs well i guess the m3 is the only car in its class.. The boss has no equal in amarican cars unless you conpare it to the challenger 392 but i dont think it handles quite as well but its still a monster..

I just looked at the mustang online and the camaro.. the boss 302 is only 444hp... the camaro is 580hp. I think you must be mistaken maybe your thinking the GT500. which is 650hp. The weight distribution on all three cars is the same. all with a small block. 302 against ZL1 no... GT500 against the ZL1 yes it would lose.

And hennessey ran a faster time on street tires .and you seen the video of the stock boss on just radials running 11.75 o it rides better on the track cool just like all other articals with the vette its a handful to drive but now the boss is so its bad no its a track car and it handles well. So they tested the car again and the there car git faster and the boss slower one artical says the boss 1.03 gs then the new one say 1.01 haha! The fact is gm was pissed about the number ever one else has the number I posted those are better driver then mt. Like I said the car is quick but not that quick. The boss is 3.9 the zl1 3.9 auto 4.0 standard the boss is depending on driver 12.1-12.4 car n/a and its about 10,000-15,000 less.
