By the end of McCain's campaign the polls showed that Sarah Palin was a substantial drag on the ticket. Palin's luster began to fade with the Couric interviews and went down from there. Palin was exposed as a vacuous incurious right wing nutter whose delusions of greatness far exceeded her shockingly limited abilities. Yes, she does attract the idiot-vote, but the majority of Americans are not idiots. Any national political aspirations Sarah Palin may still harbor are doomed to failure.
