My friends & wondered why the police didn't have the Byers (both of them) & Hobbs and all the other adults make a knot out of shoe strings to compare to the hogtie on the victims. Most folks think it was a combination or all of them but what about the numerous truckers at the truck stop, could the victims have been lured into a truck (little boys like big trucks) and killed there? Very difficult for a stranger to go into a little town like this & not be noticed fast. Folks are territorial.

ECHOLS was on FULL DISABILITY for mental problems. HE killed dogs. HE tried to pull a schoolmates eyes out. HE threatened teachers. HE threatened to eat his father alive. HE said his baby would be a Satanic sacrifice.HE was seen near the crime scene on the night of the murders in muddy clothes. HE attempted suicide in jail after his arrest. 2 people testified they heard HIM admit to the murders. HE failed his polygraph. Just a kid in black who liked METAL? You are IDENTIFYING YOURSELF WITH ECHOLS. Right away that sends a red flag to me that you cannot be objective. You are USING ECHOLS and the WM3 in a sense, for your low self esteem issues. All teenagers have a tough life. However, Echols raped and killed 3 young boys. Sometimes, this happens. Just accept it.

The defendants by acknowledging there was sufficient evidence towards guilt pretty much destroyed the supporter efforts to dismiss the evidence. All these years of back & forth between "nons" & "supporters" arguing about if there was sufficient evidence only to have the 3 convicted admit there was.

Don't accuse Byers. Yes, I know he was weird and all, but the same DNA that clears the WM3 also clears him. TH is your man.

I definately agree with you that something is very odd about Hobbs. But I disagree with you about Byers. I can't get past the fact that he had gotten his teeth pulled before he could give an impression for the bite mark on one of the boys. That just screams I'm hiding something to me. I mean I know he had problems with them and needed to get them pulled but the timing was quite a coincidence. Would you choose to go out to get your teeth pulled right after your son had been killed?

I don't see the connection to getting your teeth pulled and the death of a stepson. The relevance of the teeth marks were not, to my knowledge, an issue until after he got the teeth pulled. Why? Because the police were too incompetent to follow that piece of evidence. Just like most other evidence. The only evidence that, in their mind, existed was the "confession" of a very unintelligent young boy. Free the WM3, but also stop speculating in who the real killer was. The trail is too cold now.

I never said you could not. As it is a free country, supposedly, you are entitled to your opinion. As am I entitled to think that the teeth pulling incident has no relevance for the case. It could have had relevance if the cops actually did their job and looked into this during their investigation. The teeth are gone and we will probably never know who the killer/s was/were unless someone has a deathbed confession. The focus should not be on "whodunit", but rather vindication for the WM3.

It's not just fishy that he got his teeth pulled out after bite marks were found, but he told more than one story about losing his teeth. He said they fell out from a med he was taking (even tho they proved the med doesn't make your teeth fall out) and he also said they got knocked out in a fight. Records proved he had them pulled after the bites were found. Just a little weird, is all.

It is weird. A lot of things are weird in this case. I am saying that there are 4-5 potential murderers out there when you look at the things that are weird and possibly incriminating. The innocent kids in jail aren't going to be freed just because someone speculates about who did it.

Unless the real killer/s comes out and confesses on his/their deathbed, will we really know who killed those children? The trail is cold, unfortunately.

The best we can ask for is a fair re-trial for the WM3.

I agree with the judge. DOH!!! Bodies in water wash away a lot of evidence and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to work that one out. Police did a good job with the arrests and they are convicted and guilty until proven without any shadow of a doubt otherwise. Thanks to an article in Country Weekly, I'm looking at this case. There was no physical evidence linking the WM3 to the killings and it seems like a rush to judgement to me. The mere fact that no one else was questioned speaks volumes. In response to dickdogginit's comments about no murders since their imprisonment, if I were a killer and I continued to kill I'd increase my chances of getting caught. So I'd let those charged, take the fall. This is a total travesty!!
