Yes it is very useful to teach youngsters how to read and to recognize differences and to count and work with numbers. It also has been a powerful tool to push liberal ideals and plant seeds of humanism in the minds of our youth behind all the cute puppets there are real people with agendas for our children. We as parents need to take a closer look at what's being pumped into our kids in the name of "education". It seems to be more of a package deal.

Nixon felt the same way as you. How the fuck is this considered communism or liberalism? This is a kids program not a teaching mechanism for the liberal movement. Please remember that my siblings and I derived so much from a program like sesame st.We also were shown that people of color are people. Please due not demonize something that brought more smiles to childrens faces that any barbie doll or liberal teacher ever could. I thin we need more programs like SESAME ST.

I dont feel the Same way as Nixon. or most of so called conservatives. I never said that it propagated cummunist Ideals what I said I meant from a spiritual stand point not a secular or political one. When I recieved Christ he revealed many things about how Satan uses the media, music and entertainment to delude, desensitize, and break down moral inhabition in the American populous. Sesame street was a show that I loved as a child but it's a fact it teaches secular humanistic principles.

I agree... and thank God it does... because 'the Church' has pretty much missed the boat on teaching today's children anything at all. It's turned itself into such an unpleasant ordeal as to all but guarantee declining participation.

As long as Ernie and Burt keep their sex life private, I have nothing against them entertaining and teaching my children... and don't understand the sort of close-minded bigotry opposed to such a wonderful program.

It's no surprise that there is declining participatione in the Church Jesus of Jesus Christ. My daughters LOVED this show and learned a great deal from it. I found it charming and loved the characters myself. Both my daughters went on to be straight A students and my youngest is a senior in college with a 4.0 GPA in pre-med, so I can't knock early learning at all! I would love to see more shows like Sesame Street and less garbage aimed at young children.
