The girl demonstrating the camera hasn't got a clue what she's talking about. The camera WILL take rechargable batteries you just have to purchase them separately. The ones that come with it should be ok though since they'll take 300+ picture and a bit less if your shooting videos.

Should have said that the camera also has something calld supermacro. Dont know how good it is though. You can access the macro by pressing the small flower symbol on the dial at the back of the camera.
