  • Try JSB Exact monsterDiabolo 13.43gr pellets. My Crosman 1000 loves them. 1 hole 4 shot group at 20 yds

  • Why are all these High powered air rifles so hard to cock! My breakbarrel (1,000 fps 177 or 22 at 800 fps) hurts my thigh when I cock it! Plus a I reach the end I have to use two hands!

  • @MrBagginsEsq I'm assuming that the kinetic energy from cocking the gun is what is stored and transferred to the pellet upon firing. For example, if they made "breaking" the barrel easier, you might get only 800 fps. But you can get that kind of velocity from a multi or variable pump rifle. The selling point of the breakbarrel is that you can get more without significantly more pumping action..

  • @cuvtixo uhhh.. no.

cocking these guns pulls a spring back which is then released when you pull the trigger. that spring has something on the end that hits the pellet to fire it out of the barrel.

if it is harder, the spring is better and you'll get more fps. easier, and you have a weaker spring and a lower fps

  • @AfternoonProductions That's what I said!!! I don't know about the thing on the end of the spring, but just look up potential energy and springs. Weaker spring=easier barrel breaking=less fps.

  • @AfternoonProductions Look up "Kinetic and Potential Energy" by Tom Glazer and Dottie Evans from the Singing Science Records

  • @cuvtixo yes thank you i've been to middle school :)

i guess you could say the spring has potential energy once you cock it and before you pull the trigger. but now that i think about it i get what ur sayin. the spring holds the potential energy and then releases it in kinetic. gotchaaa. :D

  • i like the gun, but why during that reloading so fking loooong.... npm.

  • dat shit sounds like a 22

  • хав дую ду)))

  • whats the difference between the phantom and phantomx

  • @thebowlzack scope and money

  • @thebowlzack one doesnt come with a scope les expensive one comes with scope more expensive

  • i was just doing target shooting with that gun , just without a scope and made a vid , i love the phantom.! :)

  • POS sucks

  • @219ray its a break barel it mean you break the barel to cock it, load 1 pellet, put the barel back, fire... then repeat

  • PBA ammo is bad for your gun people. You want to keep you pellets Sub sonic not Super sonic. If you break the sound barrier you loose accuracy.

When you sjoot pba it doesnt always fly straight sometimes the start flipnig and spinning as the reach their target.

  • ppl dont criticize ur gun safety to protect u, they say it because they like to be negative so they feel superior

  • Yeah...

  • Gamo's got two channels on youtube. One's in Spanish, the other's in Enlgish. On neither of them have I heard reps pronouncing the name "Gay-mo" like so many people on youtube are doing. The English-language channel's pronouncing it "Gammo" and the Spanish one's pronouncing it more like "Gahmo" IIRC.

  • @starsixfilms why don't you look at wal mart?

  • this gun .22 or .177 cal??

  • @starsixfilms 4.50mm/.177 ;)

  • LMFAO i did the same thing with that gun in the store , execpt i didnt cock it , it was sitting on the self cockd allrdy i guess cuz all i did was touch the trigger , n band ( unloaded but still strpid )

  • Imagine an automatic version, that would be awesome.

  • nice gun

  • I'm deciding between this and the GAMO silent cat. Which should I get?

  • @newyorkyankeef4n1018 hey i got the crosman g1 extreme and the phantom and this are the same but mine came with a scope and no iron sights. the crosman phantom is like 89$ here in Connecticut at wall mart and i see the silent cat for about 200$ but if u want the gamo silent cat u can get it in .22cal or .177 so if u want 177 u might as well get the phantom for 89$ then 200 $ on the silent cat unless u want a .22cal and dont care about spending 200 go for gamo silent cat

  • Can I still put it in the box if I attach a scope to it?

  • i have this gun

  • all of you guys sound the same lol

  • what happens when you dry fire it ?

  • blame it on the scope

  • Is it a co2? I know its a stupid question

  • @evanator211 No, It's break-barrel spring.

  • Good rifle.

  • @ninja6kid -

You can accurately predict fall on an air rifle, it's not like a BB gun.. It has a 1:12 twist rate, there's a given muzzle velocity and a given bullet grain so how are you going to say you can't predict drop.. it's PROJECTILE.. period.

And by the way I've shot this crossman accurately at 120m on a 6" target, hell I even put a lighter at 120m and hit it within a couple of tries.

  • That is a awsome gun you should check out nate9595959595 channel it is awesome

  • Dewey,at first it kinda is but once you break it in a little then its easier also the best way to cock it is place the buttplate on your left leg then with your right arm pull it down.ps im only 11 and its easy to cock.

  • is it hard to cock

  • also, spring guns respond best to a loose, consistent hold. Dont try and suppress the guns recoil. Holding the forearm at the gun's balancing point may help too. Use heavier pellets in a powerful gun like this. Enjoy!

  • a great value gun. spring-piston guns should never be dry fired. The piston slams into the end of its travel range with no air to compress and slow it down. Also, the bore is coated with protective oil to prevent rust and should be cleaned after buying before using. The trigger, barrel, sights, and cylinder all look identical to the older models of Crosman break-barrels (Quest, Storm). I wonder if they changed anything besides the composite. Nice video. You can have lots of fun with that gun.

  • I just got one of those! no scope though

  • Hey, what's a really powerful snipper riffle that looks like this one? I want to buy a super powerful BB/Pellet gun that shoots at least 1,000 FPS and that has enough power to go through at least 1 inch think piece of strong wood. I don't know if they make something like that without needing a licence. Also, does FPS mean how strong it shoots? like will it go through more stuff? Cuz I had a 380 FPS pistol and it shot great, but then I got this 400 FPS MP5K and it shoots less hard, both CO2 guns.

  • @HakerzTM i got the G1EXTREAME by crossman looks exactly like this and is capable of 1200fps awsome gun an hits like a brick...

  • @HakerzTM You are talking about airsoft guns. FPS stands for Feet Per Second. The more the FPS, the more the speed and power that the BB has. Airsoft gun sellers often lie about the FPS. This is NOT an airsoft gun. There are no airsoft guns that will fire at 1000 FPS. This weapon in this video fires at about as much FPS as a real bullet, It will easily kill somebody. I do not recomend you getting this because you sound inexpirenced and you will end up killing yourself.

  • your shooting the wrong way, the dogs in the back yard.

  • How much on average does this gun cost? And does anyone know if available in the uk?

  • @dennisdeslager0-

I have to answer this one lol, It's effective at 110m (still accurate within 1.5") for birds smaller than a turkey. For turkey, bore, coyote, and rabit this gun is kill effective around 65m, which is a considerable range for a pellet rifle.

It's more effective against the larger animals than for a bird, with a bird the pellet goes through so fast, leaving a small cavity, but with big animals you hear that thump. Get pollymags, they act like JHP (jacketed hollow point) ammo.

  • @mancilla903-

There isn't a rifle optic out there as cheap as 20 dollars, that is, nothing but the crapy little daisy scopes with no Mil dots.

Your best bet is to just go to walmart and get a $60 CenterPoint 3-9x40 rifle scope. It's pretty cheap and it has great features, powers 300x-900x, illuminating cross hairs (green/red), 6 Mil dots, 3.5" eye relief, adjustable focus, a cleaning rag, and scope covers.

  • a 20$ 4x32 daisy scope is all you need on a break barrel air gun, especially on one as cheap and crappy as a crossman....and that 20$ scope is made for forward and rearward recoil. ive had 180$ scope literaly dissinigrate and fall appart after less than 30 shots. wtf do you need mildots for...its not accurate enough that you need to judge the drop....Every springer is as good as the next, they all have the same 40yr old internal design.

  • @ninja6kid You seriously have no clue what you're talking about. None. It also sounds like you got taken for $180 if your scope fell apart on you after 30 shots. Guys like you are a dime a dozen. YOu post your BS opinions on You Tube because you can do it without repercussions or havng to actually debate somethign in person and so you can spout off like you know what you're talking about when you don't. I was a Marine sniper for 3 years. "I" know how to shoot. Crosman actually are OK AG's.

  • were can i get a good scope thats about 20 dollars for this rifle

  • what's the biggest animal you could kill with it?

  • mtnbikerJoe,When i was a teenager my friend bought a 22 cal break barrel air pistol.I forget which model, but i cocked it to dry fire it in his house, when it went off it sound like a firecracker going off in front of me.I was startled for awhile, lol

  • These guys are funny as hell!!!

  • is this a supersonic airgun?

  • i mite buy this gun, do u recomend it for hunting?

  • @DaMadHunter57 no try 1500 fps air rifles can kill any small animals and crossbow prossibly can hunt deers and elk and coyotes

  • @DaMadHunter57 i do ive had one of these for about 3 months and they are extremely accurate

  • my phantom is 495 fps is yours 1000fps

  • @awsem1o1 do you live in canada?

  • @1nicknick599 yes

  • lol mine was shooting sparks and smoke out the end also when i shot mine for the first time.

  • Dont Buy this Rifle

Lots of plastic and not at all durable

I've had mine a couple of years now shooting about TWO pellets a week. At squirrels in the bird feeder.

I shoot this gun very little and the plastic barrel retainer that holds the barrel in line after cocking and retaining it to the horizontal broke.

A very cheap and flimsy part"

  • @baldbollocks You get what you pay for. I researched many models and for the price, this is not a bad rifle. Of course there are better rifles out there, but they will be more expensive. Any cheaper than this model is a waste of cash.

  • HOLY FUCKING CRAP!!!! I JUST GOT ONE OF THESE FOR MY BIRTHDAY AND I JUST SHOT IT AND IT SOUNDED LIKE A SHOTGUN!!!!!

  • @firebug0001 not good if you dont want the neighbours looking over. get a silencer

  • Good god. Too enthusiasssstic for me. Good try dudess.

  • I was just checking this out at Wal-Mart, as a new father/ daughter hobby, for backyard plinking, as the neighbors would be a bit upset if I started firing of the Glock .40 cal or the Benelli Super Nova.

I remember good times with my father and airguns. Thanks for the vid, as it seems to get great reviews on Cabelas.

  • i just got the gun today and let me tell u the first shots r loud and then it will just sound like a loud crack... idk why but it has a lil kick when fired lol, scope was wierd to mount but who cares. and it was kinda hard to get used to breaking the barrel open its like 30 ibs of pressure

  • sweet jesus its been 11 months since i have posted my comment about how the gun works and im still getting comments

  • @xnickbox ha, sorry man, it's because youtube puts some posts near the top even though they're old...

  • @xnickbox want another?

  • lol dude you shouldnt put high velocity ammo in there retard, after it reaches about 1100 fps (super sonic) the accuracy gets worse.

  • @metallicatilldeathhh depends on the gun. i have a super streak, and i get over 1300 fps with crosman hollow points and i can shoot within a 3" group at 30yrds

  • I own one, my friend owns one, and his friends own one, the gun is a beast.

  • is it hard to cock?

  • @sanderson9999 yes it is O_O it's prety hard to do in for the first time

  • nice gun safety, you just pointted the thing at the camera man, when you were cocking it

  • @nunvikingsofthesea I'm actually the camera man and that wasn't a safe thing. If you look way back in the comments you will see where I mentioned that everyone should be safe with any gun.

  • @mtnbikerJoe what pellet u recommend?

Im new to all this just bought mine from amazon.

  • @nunvikingsofthesea shut the fuck up you tree hugger

  • @nunvikingsofthesea shut up you fucking pussy

  • @nunvikingsoftheseayou cant shoot when its cocking it

  • 0:45 I see a squirrel in the back ground why don't shoot them? ... xD just kiding squirrel's are awesome

  • im trying to decide on the best i can get for less than 150

im thinking the storm xt, phantom, beeman ss1000-s, or a viper express

  • lol its a spring so if you "bend" the barrel it sets the spring

  • FYI, you can de-cock springers by holding the barrel down tightly in the fully-bent position. Then take the safety off and pull the trigger while still holding on the barrel. Gently guide the barrel back up as the spring pushes it up.

Also, please don't ever use those PBA garbage pellets. They may go faster, but they're not as hard hitting (energy) and as accurate as lead pellets. Since they're so light, they may damage your spring because it's very similar to dry-firing it.

    Cheers

  • @SourChews yeah i know! i found out how to do it on my own and im 13? i was just shooting my pellet gun one day and was like.... i think this would woork..

  • @SourChews No you cant do that on this gun, it has a safety system that only lets you pull the trigger if the barrel is locked in place.

  • great gun .....but id say the crosman storm xt is better

  • how can I get one of this in the Philippines?

  • i just got the same one, but with no scope, i havent used it yet but i look foward to firing at a few soda cans

  • 1 thing, and one thing only! Hatsan Arms 125 model... =DD 380 m/s, no Co2, cheap.. xD

  • Cool gun I have the same one on my channel (hobaboba20) check it out

  • the trick to sight in a scope is to were ever the pellet hit on a target turn the axis of the scope until the cross hairs are right in the middle of of the bullet mark then your scope will be aming were ever the pellet hits

  • one time when I was closing the barrel after loading it and my finger got stuck in it and i was gushing blood

  • I installed a Leapers scope 6 - 24 x 50 and can wack at 50 yards an 8 inch target.

Go to a local range, its cheap and you can sight in your scope.

For squirrel or rabbit hunting try sighting in at about 30 feet or 15 yards.

Then adjust for close or further shooting. It takes out rabbit and squirrel

    with one head shot.

  • Dude in blue talks weird lol

  • you can discharge a Phantom by letting the barrel go a little bit and pulling the trigger and slowly letting it down.

  • i have one just like this but the barrel doesnt break.

  • is that a .177 or a .22?

  • @Pilotsofer .177

  • thats what 10 year old kids with pellet guns today, would look like in the future

  • oh yeah and all that 1200 fps clain stuff is fake the guns really get about 1080 with pba.

  • Gamo sux

  • @LoversFashion yeah compared to a few good guns it does but they are pretty good usually.

  • a spring action

  • hahaha i left a comment 7 months aggo and atleast 1 time every week someone responds with the same exact answer

  • Gamo Big cat rapes this gun ......

  • @geraldiscool24 what are you taking about this gun is way more relisble and has the same power.

  • @geraldiscool24 yeah except the big cat spring wears out after about 1400 shots where the quest, phantom, and g-1 all have much better quality springs

  • The Phantom and Quest are same riffle. It's better to buy the riffle only, and get leapers 3-9x32 scoop.

  • I like the way he says he hasn't got his scope zeroed in but then there's one shot about 3 inches in the other direction :)

  • what site did you guys get your Crosman Phantom 1000x from?

  • around how loud is it? i really wanna piss off my neighbors

  • this is my rifle ;)

  • Your shots are off because of that terrible PBA ammo. Try some crosman premires. your groups will get alot tighter.

  • you know you're a redneck when you're shooting your guns on top of your car

  • nice gun check this out

  • that s a cool rifle i love it man

  • yay!! old men with airguns!

  • Great gun, hits a rabbit at ten yards with no problem. Scope that comes in the box is trash, though.

  • can this gun shot bbs?

  • please send me a us spec mainspring!

  • What is dry fireing?

  • dry firing is when you fire something without any ammo

  • it will basically break the gun if you dry fire it more than 2 times

  • was thar a dog by the corner at 0:46

  • ooo ok. thanks

  • soo with the gamo pba pellets, do the pellets break the sound barrier???

  • @SmArTiEmArT yes. but the pba ammo damages your spring.

  • mr. shakey

  • maximum lethal distance for an aluminum can?

  • id say about 250 yards

  • "the only way to discharge these things is to shoot it"

er, no it's not, once cocked, if you pull back and hold on the barrel (while it's still broke) and press the trigger, this will de-cock it

  • er no, it wont. this rifle has a secondary safety that prevents it from firing when cocked

  • where did you buy scope

  • it comes with the scope

  • thats a pretty lod pellet gun?!?

  • just bending the barrel? how would that give enough pressure to shoot a pellet? there is no co2 involved?

  • Magic.

  • @mtnbikerJoe lol.

  • folding the barrel locks a spring back.

  • theres a big ass spring in it so it pushes the piston in it witc pushes the pellet out of the barrel

  • go check out airgun sites, co2 is for people that want automatic shooting, or are to lazy to cock the gun(charging it)

but if you are a good aimer you dot need c02 , as average huters can take down small game wlike rabits or ducks in 1 shot with 1000 fps. like that crosman pantom 1000 x.

    hope i helped

  • can do that with a crosman 2250b easy its .22 500 fps

  • it is a spring.......

  • its a spring that shoots the pellet... thats how

  • Comment removed

  • @xnickbox Strong pistons the barrel is like a lever it moves a hammer or piston back much like a car shock (maybe off a bit.) then ass you pull the trigger, its self explanatory after that.

  • @xnickbox By cocking using the loading arm you are pushing a spring inside the gun, when you fire this spring releases onto the firing pin and pellet causing it to fly out at speed...hence spring-powered rifle :)

  • @xnickbox you obviously dont know anything about pellet guns

when you pull the barrel down you push down a spring piston its kind of like a gear box

  • @xnickbox Its spring loaded

  • @xnickbox

Break barrel airguns use a spring. When you break down the barrel it cocks back the spring, giving about 750+ to 1000+ FPS.

  • @xnickbox

It locks the spring back. And when you pull the trigger, the piston inside gives it enough "umph" to fire the pellet out.

  • @xnickbox suppresses the spring

  • @xnickbox you obviously have no idea what you're talking about. break barrel rifles are actually much more powerful then co2 ones due to the low psi max of co2. the highest powered co2 pellet rifle fires around 800 fps. the highestpowered breakbarrel ive seen can fire 1600. thats fucking fast.

  • @xnickbox Yes! It gives more pressure than you think it would! 31lbs of Pressure build up in this gun! I am about to be getting it!

  • @xnickbox Spring, Buddy. Spring.

  • @xnickbox It forces down a rather strong spring, which uses a kind of diaphragm to force a lot of air down on a small surface.

  • @xnickbox theres a spring that goes back every time you pull the break the barrel when you pull the triger the spring fires the pellet

  • @xnickbox spring is cocked when the barrel is broke down. spring provides the power. just a simple explanasion cuz i dont know the details lol. hope dis helped

  • @xnickbox it has a 30lb spring

  • @xnickbox cocking the barrel in a break action pellet rifle compresses a spring, thats why you shouldnt leave them cocked for a long period of time because the spring loses power.

  • @xnickbox there is a big ass spring in the back par of the barrel, its as long as the rest of the barrel that isnt broken, when you break the barrel, you also have to pull it down, pushing the spring back. When you pull the trigger it fires....and I figured out the hard way, they dont always shut all the way, almost blew the sound reducing layer out of my barrel =/

  • @xnickbox are you serious? it's simply, when you bend the barrel down the air gets stretched, and sucks more in from the nearest black hole, when you close it again it forces all the air from the black hole into the barrel behind the pellet, it's kind of like magic but with a bit of sci--fi thrown in!

  • how do break barrels work?
